Peek Pro may do everything, but it will cost you valuable time with its complexity

I am constantly having to take training classes and ask for help with basic things such as adjusting when we are open for business. I am spending more time trying to learn how to operate it and adjust it that I am running the business. Their support staff is helpful, but that does not solve the incredible complexity of using the program, and I say this as someone who has easily mastered graphics art software and I run other entire websites.

Pros

Peek Pro can do almost anything for rental and event bookings.

Cons

Peek Pro is very complicated to set up and even more complicated for the tour or rental operator to use. Nothing is simple on the backend, only for the customer.

Onboarding review

Pros

More advanced features than Fareharbor. Scheduling activities is easy and creating calendars that are interactive with my clients is great.

Cons

Some of the report features are difficult to reconcile with my QuickBooks. (payouts/tax reporting)

Peek Pro Review

Great in the beginning, awful now. Wouldn’t recommend to my biggest competitors at this point

Pros

When I first started with this company 10 years ago the customer service was amazing, in the last 3 years it has gone completely down hill.

Cons

Dispute team is a JOKE! They are zero help and don’t answer your questions, that’s if you can get them to email you back in the first place. They will shut your bookings down and not say anything to you if you don’t do all their merchant changes, even if you don’t agree with them. Don’t even get me started on the delay of them depositing funds into your account if they’re not withholding them for some unknown reason like not providing information thY doesn’t change every year.

Das Club Tour is now powered by Peek Pro

I'm having a lot of fun with the system, I have a few test reservations from trusted resellers to get a feedback. The system itself is easy to use even though it is complex it never feels like things are hidden or difficult to find.

Pros

It is a very complex system and comes with a lot of features that provide a great customer experience when making reservations and also keeping them informed. The customer portal is amazing to communicate information to the guests. Overall the automation is a great time saver, mass texting and email is another great feature to reach out at once. Also a lot of features for the back office to run reports, to organize things and it is lightning fast.

Cons

There aren't really any cons that I came across, none that I can think off.

WooCommerce is not good if I am real honest, lots of features that all cost extra. Bookly is very buggy.

I was looking at Origin mostly because it was tour operator optimized however their support team stopped talking to me and compared to Peek pro it was very lightweight. WooCommerce is slow and everything is an add-on that costs x-amount of money which adds and skyrockets the yearly costs. FareHarbor was not an option because it sometimes just doesn't load and changes that were made to the manifest doesn't transfer to server side from the mobile app.

Very Good platform

For a while Peek pro was very good for our company but as we expanded into new products, packages etc, we found another platform that fits better our company

The booking system and inventory options.

Cons

High fees for the clients and missing a waiting list option and they way to build packages is not very user friendly

Pros

Its a good product. It does what most Reservation System do. Nothing rewally out of the ordinary.

Cons

Customer service.Cancelled my account because of the poor communication of their agents. Once I asked to cancel my account, they didnt even ask why, not even hesitated.

Wynd River Services LLC

The staff has been very helpful, professional, and timely. The booking site is easy to navigate from the customers point of view. It is also very user friendly on the manager side as well. I have already blocked out dates and booked clients from the back end. We are confident that this booking site will do most of the tedious work it takes to book our trail rides and allow us to focus more of our time on what matters, our paying customers. Peek Pro is Awesome

This has been a very good experience and overall we are very happy with the product, the software and the results we are seeing.

Pros

I reached out to a few booking companies and Peek was the only one to respond. They have been great at communicating, open to questions and helpful in the startup process. Their software has been very easy to pick up and start using. Their prices are very comparable and fair.

Cons

None so far, except that we lose [sensitive content hidden] to work with, she was awesome during the onboarding process.

My Business is sooo much better because of Peek Pro!

My overall experience has been amazing and super positive. [sensitive content hidden] helped me sign up and on board with Peek Pro. They were professional, detailed, organized and efficient. The times that I had video calls with them were super helpful and informative! I recommend them for their amazing customer service.

Pros

Sooooo... I really really really needed Peek Pro. I found out about this software about 3 weeks ago and I am in my 3rd summer season of renting paddle boards and kayaks at my local lake. I was having to manually double book customers with my website. It took forever and I often forgot a booking or two during the busy weeks. Opps! That will never happen again with Peek. I am booking more rental than ever and now people are finding where I launch from without having to call me confused!

Cons

There are a few things that I would change because my business is not a traditional one. I run and operate my own business so having set hours is a challenge for me. I wish that I could make changes to my schedule weekly without having to make a whole new season. I would like to be able to add a rental during my non-open times if I want since it is my schedule. I would like to change my equipment available much easier than many clicks. This is me just being detailed! Make some updates, but seriously, my life has changed for the better because of this program. I recommend it for anyone in my field.

Peek Pro was a game changer for our business!

Peek Pro has made my life easier. All of our bookings are in one place but divided by date. I can see who has paid or where they are on payments or if they have only given a deposit. Customers get automatic text and emails now which is saving me a ton of time. They helped me set up a promo code which was a wonderful addition. I feel our website looks more professional and things are easier for me to manage now!

Pros

I LOVED all the support from Peek Pro. They gathered my information and started everything for me. We would have zoom calls (which they recorded for me) and they would make any changes I wanted and help me learn how to do things myself. They were very easy to work with and even found a "work around" for something that I requested that wasn't in the normal way of doing things. They made sure I liked the visuals, that the information was correct, they were always asking if I wanted anything added or changed. They would give suggestions...just overall made this so easy for me. They even made sure I understood how things would work if someone cancelled a booking and I needed to refund them money. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and feel this is a big win for our business!

Take a Peek at Peek

Pros

We had an account with Peek for a few years, but then due to the pandemic, we stopped using them. So when we wanted to resume tours, we did some shopping around, but turns out Peek was still going to be the best option for us. They were super helpful and could even reactivate our old account, so we did not have to start all over.

Pros

We had initially left Peek searching for "more" a little over a year ago. When finding ourselves unhappy in our new platform, our owner suggested revisiting Peek and to our surprise, Peek had done major upgrades to their software and now offer a much more user-friendly software and a multitude of features!

Peek Pro for Kayaking

We did leave Peek and went to a different software company mostly because of the issues we had with the online waiver system and the split payment problems. I have heard that they have corrected some of theses issues, but we have not switched back because we are doing well with our current company

Look for a different booking company. One with back end support.

Luke warm at best. There have been booking problems, GETTING PAID problems, refunding problems, and a general lack of regard for problem solving.

Pros

I have been a user for 10 years. Peek used to be easier to use when they had staff for customer service.

Cons

Peek keeps diminishing their back end help. Now, Peek tries to use backend AI.

Look, I am paying Peek to manage my bookings for a fee. That comes with the expectation that I can get a problem solved in the first contact. The best, most efficient contact is with a human. I will either go back to paper and pencil or find another provider,

False Promises at Sales and ZERO Customer Service

Terrible, see the cons I already described. DO NOT USE PEEK, YOUR BUSINESS WILL SUFFER AND YOUR TIME WILL BE WASTED!

We have grown out of WIX bookings but seriously look at that for a very feature rich low cost solution!

Pros

The interface, feature list and functionality for the customer seems to be great.

Cons

Setup help is limited, support and setup knowledge of their own product almost doesn't exist. They claim to have 7 day per week support over 4 time zones which is a complete lie. You can not contact people on support chat, phone or any other way than ticketing which takes 48 hours to resolve at a minimum.

If you run into a business stopping issue, you will be completely screwed and it is obvious no one there cares or has a plan to fix this!

You will be sold features that do not work or can not be implemented without complex work arounds if at all.

I question if they are even still in business with how challenging it is to get in contact with them which was not the case when we first signed up.

Expect Zero Support After Implementation

They are very happy to take there cut but are no where to be found when you need support. Even in the slow seasons.

Its a pretty powerful tool and can manage a lot of reservations

Cons

There is zero support even though they rave about 5 star reviews on capterra for support. They want everything done through email or their chat bot. This is the typical troubleshooting sequence I go through. I go through the help articles and cant find a resolution. I detail the problem and the chat bot runs me around for 30 minutes about did i try the article or this one. I finally get a actual person on the chat but he is unfamiliar with the software and does the same run around. After about two hours of this he refers me back to the help center. Same thing with emailing support. I've detailed a problem with the software and they come back with a help article that is unrelated and brush me off.

Traumatic, horrible, disappointing, frustrating, and time-consuming. They illegally filter out negative reviews. I'm now with Fareharbor and very happy.

Pros

The integrated waiver was helpful as was the pre-tipping feature.

Cons

I've switched booking systems several times for different reasons. By far the worst was Peek Pro. Customer service consistently took over a week to respond. I had an emergency and called customer service, texted, used the chat, and even reached out to my initial onboarding specialist and heard only crickets for 6 days!! I felt completely unsupported and they negatively impacted my business. They bring you on and then hang you out to dry.

Falls Short of Promises

We really wanted to love Peek, and spent a lot of time vetting the software before deciding. Lot's of promices were made as to its functionality, yet failed to deliver on them. It's a good system for a beginner or simple items, but if you want a flawless functionality that is robust and will take your business to the next level, then this is not the system for you.

When you discover that the system can't do certain items they put in a feature request to happen sometime in the future.

When you call customer support to ask for help and you discover it's a 10 step process to do something simple and you express your displeasure they just say "I'm so sorry the software is difficult for you to understand" Really? I've worked with and have built several different systems in my lifetime, and simple changes shouldn't be that difficult!

Pros

We moved to Peek after rigorous discussions with the company. The one thing it does over other softwares is the ability to book multiple pieces of equipment at the same time. We also like the calendar and manifest.

Cons

The software is inefficient and hard to manipulate based on needs, not to mention a lot more expensive then other softwares in this league.

- Waiver Function is terrible. Can't search for waivers signed. Waivers have glitches and can get corrupted or just disapear. Support can't help find them either.

- Can't apply discount to just certain items, it discounts the entire reservation. So if you discount a large group, then have to charge damages, the damages are then discounted. Also you can't override taxes & credit card fees.

- Can't refund to store credit if guest drops a piece of equipment. You have to create a custom code per customer then email it to them.

- Automatice Email & Text Message System is terrible! Can't customize text messages, so you have to send them to each guest individually.

- System doesn't offer a waitlist feature.

- They recommend using an ipad with their app so guests can sign waivers. However the app is the bare minimum so you constantly have to switch betwen the app and their web url in order to check in guests. Guests have to be given a booking ID at checkin to be able to sign and scan a QR Code. Using the URL on an iPad, you can't see the amount charged or amount owed as that section is cut off. It's very inefficient to have to use 3 different devises. A tablet for the app and URL, then a desktop to see the charges on the side of the screen.

- Dynamic pricing and changing rates is combersome. Especially if you offer weekday, holiday, and weekend rates during different seasons.

Excellent Customer Experience

Pros

The software easily integrated with my website and is intuitive to use. More importantly, the sales and onboarding team was excellent to work with. [sensitive content hidden] was very knowledgeable of the product. Her communication and follow up was top notch! I would highly recommend.

Cons

Peek Pro exceeded my expectations, so there is nothing to complain about.

Decent unless you have a problem

My experience has been touch and go. Mine is not a standard group tour operator and they worked with me to get my booking platform set up as close to my needs as possible but if/when problems arise, it’s very difficult to get live assistance. My caution would be if something occurs that’s their error, you will still pay and you have no recourse because they just take the money out of the next booking. Parts of their site are over complicated and some “small” things aren’t possible to do. It’s been a mixed bag experience

Allowed some customization or workarounds. Helped set up.

Cons

The Knowledge Base sucks
There’s no direct contact with customer service and even when you do, they won’t do a lot of things
They forced integration with Stripe rather than their own I started with which changes the refund policy

NO Customer Service/ Always down!

Dissapointed and it will take alot to get us to remain a customer. I just hope others get to read this. But i doubt it because they redirect all negative reviews to make themselves look good.

Pros

Peek pro used to be amazing. Those days are gone. Customer service is non existent.

Cons

Customer service is absolutely unacceptable. And the lack.of reports and layout of calendar is so far behind other tecnology.

Horrible platform

Horrible. Would not recommend. Switching to another platform since I heard this is common for peek pro.

Run run run they are car salesmen

I wish I could give them a zero. I used FareHarbor and was completely happy. Peek/PeekPro sold me because they said they had a partnership with Viator and I would no longer pay any commissions on those bookings. LIE
They also said they tracked cart abandonment and I would have access to the data. LIE 
They said they had the fastest payment processing. Hilarious LIE. FareHarbor take about 3-4 days. PeekPro took 8-9 minimum. 
They said all of their vendors automatically get listed on Musement. LIE 
They said that the customers would not be redirected to another website but instead get a pop up for booking. LIE 
They way they control bookings is by start time to end time so it makes it impossible to only close off certain bookings times without closing off others if there is any kind of overlap on times. 
The app is complete trash. You have an option on there called activities that is completely useless. Nothing syncs to it. You can not create bookings from the app. You can not cancel bookings from the app. All you can do is check in and mark as returned. It’s utterly ridiculous an useless. 
Do not get sold on the lies, PEEKPRO is trash. They charge $299 when FareHarbor does not charge anything. PeekPro has to sell you on lies because they are a subpar product.

Pros

I used FareHarbor for years and was sold a bunch of lies. There was not a single redeeming feature on PeekPro.

Cons

Inability to quickly change booking times and the inability to create any bookings on the app. The app is a joke.

Good start with Peek Pro

The reps were very responsive to questions and issues. Both were very friendly and helpful

Pros

Peek Pro has made many improvements since we last considered it a year ago. We like the checkout process and easy user interface.

We Love Peek Pro!

Pros

Peek Pro offers seemless integrated booking with Wordpress making is as easy as possible for our users to book trips via our website. Their team is also fantastic. Our account manager Josmary was an invaluable resouce to making our trips book more and become more profitable.

Cons

There's not much to say here. We're overal very happy with their product!

Simple Bicycle rental platform

Peek Pro basically set it up behind sense. Not much for me to till the onboarding and learning part. Everything was expanded and understandable. Our onboarding person kept on us during the two week process to double check and triple check that we were comfortable this it all.

Pros

Simplicity, designed with our exact needs.

Cons

There is not much to not like. Maybe not have a direct account manager, but it hasn't been a big issue.

Account is blocked and I cannot get reservations on my website

booking process is smooth to the customer

Cons

Recently (July 15t, 2024) Peek has updated their Payment system and all users had to register for the new program. I have been trying to register on that for almost 2 weeks and because of a bug, I am not being able to complete this procedure.

Due to that, my account is basically blocked and we are not being able to receive reservations neither we are being able to transfer our funds to our bank account.

We understand changes are necessary but if you are encoutering an issue on your side, you do not harm your clients because of that.

So far, I spoke to several employees from the Customer service, only through chat and email and no one is finding a solution to that. Ridiculous...

Review of Peek Pro

Pros

Peek Pro is going to help us stay organized, welcoming, and even financially sound.

Cons

The vocabulary used in the internal interface is not the same vocabulary we use, so it confuses me. I may be the only one. There's a huge learning curve, and the training was done by the trainer pointing out things in quick succession rather than me trying things as she guided. I didn't even know what questions to ask at the end of sessions, and mysteries I brought up in between still haven't really been answered. I have had to poke around a lot on my own and results from minute to minute vary widely. I've lost a lot of sleep.

Peek Pro for a Treck and Hikeing company

Pros

It was incredibly easy to use program with an awesome onboarding team. we where up and running in 2 weeks!! This software saves takes the headache out of scheduling. From a built in texting, emailing, and payment processing.

Cons

As with any software that is mostly pre packaged the amount of customization can feel limiting, but in the end was way more robust than I first expected.

Worst Company

The worst in all history. They don’t care about their clients.

Pros

Nothing at all. They suck and I want my money now

Cons

Peek pro has kept our money. We haven’t been able to get paid for the past month and half and we call everyday. The situation is escalated to people that don’t care and they say our payment is in transit. Well where is it in china because we still haven’t received our money and this is the worst company ever, worst customer satisfaction. I wish I never would have signed up with this company that doesn’t care about their customers. We are here struggling to get over $2k in our account because peek pro can’t get it together. I demand they give us our money or we will be forced to go to the business bureau

Overall Good Product

Pros

Ease of product setup. Overall functionality of the software.

Cons

Multiple excursions booked across multiple days with only show up on the calendar on the very first day of the booking. It would not show up for the rest of the days which often led to overbooking.
