The solution is built around four core capabilities: Detect, Enforce, Control, and Audit. It enforces security through configurable policies covering Data Leakage Prevention (managing passwords, autofill, cookies, and browsing history), Threat Prevention (enabling safe browsing and SmartScreen filtering to block malicious sites and drive-by attacks), and Browser Customization (setting homepages, bookmarks, and other preferences), all deployable from a single console to Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Internet Explorer without relying on cumbersome GPO templates. The product also gives administrators granular control over browser extensions and plug-ins, allowing them to silently distribute approved add-ons, block unapproved or risky ones, detect outdated plug-ins, and monitor the permissions each extension requests. Its Browser Lockdown feature turns trusted browsers into a secure, full-screen kiosk mode restricted to enterprise-approved websites, while Web Filtering and Web Isolation block access to malicious or non-compliant sites and render untrusted pages in an isolated, sandboxed environment to stop phishing, malware, and drive-by downloads before they reach the endpoint. Additional capabilities include Java version management, policy-driven phishing protection, and distribution of curated bookmarks and extensions across the organization for consistency and productivity. On the compliance side, Browser Security Plus benchmarks browser configurations against standards from the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), calculates a security score for each computer, classifies machines as highly vulnerable, vulnerable, low risk, or secure, and lets administrators remediate non-compliant settings directly from the console. Browser Security Plus supports Windows and macOS environments and manages popular browsers including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Brave, Yandex, Vivaldi, Naver Whale, and Ulaa.
