> SoniClear Gov Recorder digitally records government meetings to streamline meeting minutes production and archive meetings for review. Recording on any Windows 10 and Windows 11 computer, the software supports modern government practices for improved productivity and convenience for clerks, board secretaries, and anyone responsible for documenting public meetings.

Gov Recorder has the option to create meeting minutes automatically using integrated access to the SoniClear Cloud transcription service. Recordings are converted to summary meeting minutes and verbatim transcripts automatically using the latest artificial intelligence technology. Gov Recorder is compatible with a range of microphones and audio systems. 

Gov Recorder includes features making it easy to take timestamped notes capturing detailed information during meetings. Users can type notes, enter predefined notes using function keys, or enter an outline of the meeting based on items from the published agenda for the meeting. Timestamped notes give direct access to any point in the meeting with one click. Included with the Gov Recorder software is the SoniClear Transcriber player software. The VoiceBoost feature can be used to amplify and filter the sound for greater clarity when people are speaking softly. When playing back the recordings, the user has complete control over the playback location, and the playback speed can be slowed or sped up as needed. 

Recordings are initially stored on the disk drive of the recording computer. The Auto Backup feature copies the recording files to a network folder for easy access. Recordings can also be manually backed up to a flash drive, CD, or network folder as needed for permanent storage or sharing with staff and participants. The LAN Archive feature keeps a copy of each meeting recording in a central network folder where staff can review meetings using the SoniClear Player program. These archived recordings can also be copied to flash drives or CDs to satisfy records requests by the public.

The Web Archive feature generates files for streaming audio recordings from a government website for public access. These recording archives can be played on any computer, phone, or tablet device using a browser. Switching to Gov Recorder from other methods of recording is easy to accomplish. Installation is straightforward, with remote installation assistance. The user interface uses familiar controls, making it easy to use immediately.
