The Best Wordpress Management Platform for Self-Hosting Solutions
My experience with SpinupWP has been 99% positive. If there has ever been a failure in the system, it's because I got impatient and neglected to read the documentation before trying a new feature. Frankly, I think their services are vastly under priced for the pure simplicity and the number of features this service provides.
Pros
Setting up new servers is incredibly easy.
Attaching remote databases is super easy.
Backing up, migrating, cloning, and pushing Wordpress instances around is easy.
The documentation is great. The customer support is super responsive. The community is also quite helpful. This organization knows that they're doing when it comes to give people the tools to host their own Wordpress sites.
Cons
There have been a couple of hangups with server identity management in the workflow, but that's some really deep stuff that I don't even think I want access to. Customer support is happy to help in the rare instance when it's needed.
Reasons for Switching to SpinupWP
SpinupWP doesn't try to nickle and dime you with numbers of visitors and over-inflated storage prices. They leave that to the cloud providers, and there are plenty of providers (*cough* Linode *cough*) where you can get servers for 1/10th of the cost of one of these "managed" Wordpress hosting providers.Response from SpinupWP

Truly excellent product for deploying Wordpress
Firstly, I rarely write online reviews! I also have a strict personal policy of never writing a (favorable) online review for any kind of incentive. So the rare time I stick my neck out to support a tech vendor, it's because I think they're doing something truly great.
I've spent the last few months working on a data publishing website that has some slightly peculiar requirements re: external database configuration. This has meant moving host more frequently than I would like (which is zero times).
I've found some great VPS providers but configuring Wordpress production and staging environments is a process that I've found time-consuming and buggy. I've encountered apparently managed VPS service providers whose systems have struggled mightily with something as simple as configuring something like what I'm looking for - which I would have thought is both commonplace and simple.
SpinupWP is the first tool I've found that has "just worked" for setting up a reliable Wordpress deployment. The staging to production pushes work every time without any downtime or any of the many strange issues that I was seeing on other hosts (and I'm aware that SpinupWP isn't even a host!).
Their tech support has been generous with the help they've provided as I've gotten up and running with their system.
I'm hugely grateful to have found them. Deploying Wordpress infrastructure is a part of the project that takes me away from what I should be working on. Finding a service like this that can streamline this (and which focuses squarely on this as their speciality) is huge.
Pros
So far the product has worked really well. It's handled basically everything I could think of as a common Wordpress deployment activity without difficulty. That includes provisioning Wordpress on a VPS. Creating a staging environment based off of production. Cloning from staging to production.
Was also surprised to see that it handled deploying and upgrading SSL certs without difficulty.
All round, seems like a mature and well thought out tool.
Cons
The only feature I've seen that I think could be improved upon is the fact that you need to create separate domain entries for the apex domain and the https:// version of it. This wasn't obvious to me and resulted in people trying to access the 'www' version of my site and getting Cloudflare errors.
Not saying that they're implementing it wrong. But it probably couldn't hurt to implement something like a friendly popup reminder in case users have forgotten to add the additional entry. Otherwise, everything is great so far.
Response from SpinupWP
Wow, what an awesome, comprehensive review Daniel! I may reach out to you in a couple of months to see if you'd like to be featured on our site as a case study. And your feedback about www domains is an excellent idea. I've added this to our issue tracker. -Brad

Makes Self-hosting WordPress a Breeze
I’ve been using SpinupWP for a few years now and it’s so much more powerful than the hosting provider I was using before. I can pick my own server provider and plan according to what fits my needs and budget. Aside from the single issue mentioned before, it has been worry free and just works.
Pros
SpinupWP made setting up and managing my own WordPress server super simple. The dashboard is powerful yet intuitive, and the documentation is comprehensive and helpful. SpinupWP has also been on the ball regarding best practices, such as upgrading from obsolete PHP versions, or outdated Linux versions.
Cons
It’s hard to think of any downsides to SpinupWP. It does what it sets out to do very well. If I didn’t have to update Linux packages manually that would be great, but not a major issue. Only once did I have an issue, and it seemed to be because the SpinupWP plugin got disable accidentally on a site. That caused a CPU spike which crashed my server regularly. Makes me wonder why it wasn’t under must-use plugins.

The best WP/PHP server management: The Perfect Managed WordPress hosting replacement.
We had a few issues setting up some servers in the beginning, but we haven't had issues since then (almost two years ago from this review). Their support has been great, and it's taken a lot of the DevOps away without the cost. We spend around $100+ per month, but it also means I don't have to hire a full time DevOps team member.
Pros
SpinupWP makes managing my cloud servers FAR easier and faster. It allowed us to utilise cloud servers like EC2, Digital Ocean, and Linode without the insane costs of WP Engine and others.
Cons
It's still relatively new, and development of new features is slow, but the quality is always high, so it's usually worth the wait.
More features for custom WordPress setups would be ideal. I also don't like the pricing model, as it disincentivises multiple smaller servers vs larger, shared hosting setups.
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the nice review Matthew! 🙂
I agree, per-server is not ideal. We actually did change our pricing briefly to charging per-site but people found it hard to estimate their monthly cost, and so we went back to per-server. We're experimenting with other ways of incentivising keeping the number of sites per server low. -Brad

Hosting with freedom
My overall experience with SpinupWP is definitely great. I can't see a reason for quitting you guys. And when I heard in Porto that you were selling Migrate DB Pro and fully focussing on spinup, I was just over the moon <3
Pros
I really dig that we've finally been able to pick-and-mix the stack we wanted and needed for some of our customers. We have some crazy homemade extensions running for sites (like a mongo-db powered cart for a woocommerce site, so it can run with full page caching). No other managed host would help us out with this.
Managed hosting is great, but I often find myself more knowledgeable then the people working the helpdesks, so this is a perfect setup for us.
Cons
The dashboard isn't great for a large amount of servers and sites (but I read in the recent newsletter that y'all are fixing that).
I'd also love more detailed technical documentation on the installed stack and how to make changes to it; kinsta does this really well.
Alternatives Considered
ForgeReasons for Choosing SpinupWP
Costs and the fact that I tend to know more in a technical sense then most people working on their helpdesks. Savvii, our other managed wordpress host, also once restored a 6 hour old backup on a running webshop deleting about 600 orders which we then had to insert -by hand- based on the "recently send" options in our SMTP provider.Switched From

We chose Spinup because our main focus is still on WordPress.Response from SpinupWP
Awesome review Luc, thanks! 🙂
Your story about Savvii is similar to my experience with managed hosts. They're always doing things without your say so and with that much tinkering, mistakes happen.

Best Web Hosting Solution When Factoring in Everything
It has completely changed my web hosting. I used to use a large managed server provider as I was fearful of needing support as I know nothing about Linux server administration so I needed cpanel, WHM and all those tools plus support. Once I gave spinupwp.com a try, I realized I didn't need support - the ease to spin up servers, and setup sites without cpanel and all that, was so much easier. Plus their security is better, and the performance is night and day faster on spinupwp.com. Plus, I can 1 click restore a site if something goes south. No opening tickets and waiting, etc.
Anytime I have had a question (like how do I not cache a specific wordpress page) they respond in less than 24 hours and I am not even on the most expensive plan as I only have 7 servers. They also are really good at helping with random questions, something as simple as how to setup a staging site.
I could go on and on but in the past, I looked at hosting as a cost of doing business. Now with their platform and buying my own VPS servers, hosting costs are half what they used to be and performance is so good that now I am growing my hosting business.
Pros
The backups solution, wow. The ability to restore 1 website with 1 click, and it takes about 1 minute or so depending on the size of the website to be restored back to early morning is amazing. I also love the ability to set up a new server in 10 minutes with one click, and the ability to install new websites in a few clicks. Absolutely amazing platform and the security and the speed due to the caching methods is unlike anything you will find in the marketplace - they really don't have a competitor as far as apples to apples.
Cons
Hard to find one, but if I have to nitpick.. I can take backups, let's say 30 days. No issue there. I just wish I could also have a weekly schedule run, every 7 days. That way, sites that don't change much, I could just keep non-daily backups. It's really a nitpick item but it would be cool if I could run 2 schedules instead of just the daily.
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the kind words Mike! I'm really glad to hear SpinupWP is working so well for you. Weekly and monthly backup scheduling is currently in development should be shipped in the next few months. Great Alternative to Shared hosting or Managing your own Server
Everything has worked great and they have introduced new features at a regular pace that are very useful to the function of their service.
Pros
Let's me have full control of my server while helping me maintain it and keep it secure. If you run your own server, there is a lot of configuration and setup that I personally am not comfortable doing on a production server that hosts client projects. On the other hand many of the premium hosting services out there are too restrictive for some of the things I need to be able to do.
Cons
If there has to be a con, I think it would be the availability of customer service. Although, I have not had to use the customer service much if at all, I remember when I signed up they were not available 24hrs. This is not an issue for me and I actually prefer that they keep things this way if they can as a way to keep costs down and their service inexpensive.
Reasons for Choosing SpinupWP
Need more power and flexibility. I was paying a premium price at Siteground for a shared hosting set up that I was regularly hitting the limits on. I also, was going to be adding more client projects and wanted a way to maintain them all in the same space.Switched From

Peace of mind for my company. Cannot recommend enough.
This is one of those tools that lets me forget about things and focus on my clients. SpinupWP shows up when I need it, does what I need it to do, and in such an inexpensive way!
Pros
This is exceptionally cost effective. Mix in the constant new features and updates, and the quality of the team in responding to issues is incredible. I've ended up writing about how I was able to work with them, and another SaaS to solve a problem that brought CPU usage down. The ability to link multiple providers is also fantastic. AWS, DO to name a few.
Cons
I know being critical helps a company to grow, but I am having trouble finding something to be overly critical about. I think the only real bugbear I have is that when it shows updates are needed for a site, even after I update the theme, plugin, WP itself, it doesn't update the number next to the site. It's not the end of the world, and it doesn't impact anything but me second guessing if I updated it or not!

Making server and site administration easy.
Pros
I love how easy it is to add and manage sites. Also, SpinupWP's ability to keep my server up-to-date on security patches, integrated backup to B2, and ability to easily deploy on push to my repository makes it super streamlined for me to keep my business running smoothly.
Cons
One feature that I'd like is the ability to just pull a subdirectory on deploy from git, not the entire repo.

Fantastic Hosting Platform
Overall, using SpinupWP is amazing. The pricing is wonderful for what this platforms offers.
Pros
I love that I can choose my own powerful servers on Digital Ocean. And I love all the options that SpinupWP takes care of for me - caching, domain name changing, IP addresses, SFTP, etc.. It's a super powerful and fast platform.
Cons
The only drawback is sometimes I have to SSH into my server to accomplish certain tasks. However, they do offer very good documentation for everything I need to do.

Makes Server Management a Breeze
I absolutely love it, and the incremental improvements have been very welcome. I hope they always keep it simple and straightforward—it's already so close to being perfect (for me) that I don't need a bunch of feature bloat or constantly redesigned UIs ;)
Pros
I've been using SpinUpWP practically since they launched because their platform solved my issues of spinning up AWS EC2 instances. It used to be a relatively time-consuming process, but with SpinUp, it really makes it as simple as a few clicks after setting up the instance. It's great to be able to manage a lot of aspects of web server management in a clean, streamlined UI that I used to have to do manually through the CLI—you can add new sites, set up SFTP users, install SSL certs, set up backups, and update plugins (though I don't update through their interface—I prefer to be a bit more hands-on to make sure things update smoothly and to keep up-to-date with changelogs). It really makes it so smooth to manage your servers. Also, the fact that server logs are integrated is a HUGE benefit—no need to SSH into your environment when you can see and manage it all in one place.
Cons
The only thing that would be nice to have is a way to manually refresh the status of my sites' updates. You can manually refresh the server status after rebooting and installing updates, but I'd love to be able to manually refresh the status of plugin updates (I love seeing the line of green checks!) I would also love to see some more server monitoring stats in the UI (i.e. the stats you see when you first SSH into the server; we already see how much storage is used, but would be great to see memory usage, system load, etc.)
Response from SpinupWP
Such a nice review Mary-Ann, thanks! 🙂

Simplified Server Management for WordPress with fantastic performance
They've taken the work out of my dev process, and freed me up to focus my efforts elsewhere. If you're comfortable running your own servers, or even if you think you want to learn more about server management, I highly recommend SpinupWP. You'll have full access to every bit of configuration--if you want it--otherwise it saves you a ton of time in manually configuring Nginx, Redis, MySQL, etc.
Pros
SpinupWP makes it far simpler to manage and setup sites on my own server/VPS. Their stock config is also super performant, and the SSH configuration is super easy to manage via the dashboard. Issuing SSL certs is built into the site setup process and is also dead simple.
Cons
If I have to pick on anything, it's the standard support, but they are very up front about what to expect. If you need more from support, they have an upgraded plan for that. But if, like me, you just need the basics and can handle managing your own WP site(s), the standard support is just peachy.
So ultimately, if you go with the Personal plan, just don't be expecting someone to hold your hand through every little problem you might have with WordPress. The server setup itself is rock solid, so you're unlikely to have issues there anyway--it's always the plugins and theme you add on top of WordPress that are bound to give you fits.

SpinupWP is a Great Product by a Great Team
Very good. The support team is responsive and helpful. Even when it's something silly that I forgot. I've bene able to grow my own hosting business and give my clients an option that I feel really good about, and that I know has their best interests in mind.
Pros
I enjoy the option to get under the hood and do whatever it is I need to on any of my servers. I can get as in the weeds (or not) that I like. And I feel "safe" doing it with SpinupWP support in my corner.
Cons
Some early growing pains, and the way you have to do site migrations for an entire server. I've already raised this feature request with the team, and I think they're working on a way to deploy a new server and move every site from an old to the new. This is important because SpinupWP recommends a fresh install when using a new version of Ubuntu.

SpinupWP has been a game changer for me
SpinupWP has simplified, streamlined, and revolutionized how I manage my "servers" and sites. I can't recommend it enough. I mention SpinupWP whenever anyone around me talks about WordPress hosting.
Pros
I've always been a shared hosting developer, even though I used Virtual Private Servers. SpinupWP took a bit of getting used to coming from that background, but once I spun up my first server and transferred my first site, I understood the value. SpinupWP makes it extremely easy to add, maintain, and update sites. It's beautifully designed, simple to use, quick, and bug-free.
Cons
I have had no complaints with SpinupWP. The only issues I've had were with myself - I needed to read some of their documentation to understand what it did under the hood.

SpinupWP saves us time and improves consistency of bulids
A++++ would recommend. This product makes managing your web servers effortless and efficient.
Pros
SpinupWP allows us to provide a consistent, high quality, server platform for our sites. It standardizes our process with industry best practices. Applying OS patches and sending reminders to reboot servers is extremely handy. Being able to see a dashboard of all of our sites (100+) across multiple servers and the status of all of them is extremely helpful.
Even tasks like upgrading PHP versions (7.4 -> 8.0 -> 8.1) is really streamlined in this platform and has helped us ensure that our sites are up to date whenever possible.
Cons
A very small complaint is the pagination of the sites interface becomes cumbersome for some of our large instances that have many many micro sites runnning on them (i.e. 50+). It would be ideal to be able to override the pagination.

Amazing Service for WordPress Oriented Hosting
The service and support is great and I've had minimal issues. All of my sites that run on servers managed by their service are very, very fast. It is a managed hosting service developed by WordPress devs and for WordPress devs. Just great.
Pros
The ability to quickly spin up servers that are pre-configured for WordPress sites is great. Not only are they optimized for maximum website speed, but they are also optimized in terms of security. I can completely set up a server in 15 minutes and be ready to go. Amazing.
After using the service for my company, I actually signed up to use the service for my personal stuff as well. It just makes things so much easier to manage.
Cons
There are a few settings/features missing by default which aren't configurable in the control panel, but they can be adjusted manually which I end up doing myself. Not a huge deal, but it would be nice to be able to adjust PHP-FPM pool settings in the control panel as well as have Cloudflare real IP stuff set up by default in Nginx. That and I have had an issue with backups when storage space is low.
Response from SpinupWP
Very nice review Kenny, thanks for that. 🙂
We definitely plan to add config file editing to the app and better support Cloudflare, but since you can currently do these things via SSH, other things have been given higher priority. We've been discussing taking a disk space measurement of the backup during the backup process, just before sending the backup to cloud storage, and adding it to Todos if the server is low on space. We haven't added it to our roadmap yet though. - Brad

SpinupWP streamlined my set up.
It would take an awful lot for me to change hosting. The experience is smooth and pain free. I've only had to talk to support once and that was a while ago.
Pros
It takes a lot of the had work out of launching and hosting websites without taking away the control.
Cons
Initially it was having to set up transactional emails. This was a bit of a learning curve for me but once it was sorted, it was easy as. Now days it's probably the lack of a quick staging environment but I believe that's in the pipeline.
Response from SpinupWP
Love to hear that SpinupWP has helped you level up Chris, that's so great! 🙂
The site clone tool can be used to create a staging site pretty quickly already, but you'll need to refresh the files and database of that site manually or use a third-party plugin. We're launching a refresh site tool in the next couple of months that will fill this missing gap. -Brad

Great, as I said, no real issues since 2019, it always reliably worked.
Pros
I have been using SpinupWP since it came out in 2019, and for all the time it worked without any issues and delivered what it promised. SpinupWP: A system to effectively manage WordPress sites
Pros
Page caching, or better put total Website caching, that truly speeds up page loading and subsequently increases max load
Cons
I'd like to see more logs containing detailed results of actions you can perform, like moving a site to a different domain. I think this can speed up the necessary checks you need to perform after the move.
Response from SpinupWP
Nice review Costas, thanks for that! 🙂

Guided, supported assured server management for Wordpress
Pros
Strong documentation, dashboard and tools for those who want high levels of control but to also feel supported by knowledgeable support staff when things might get tricky (if you're not an expert, know enough and want to learn more).
Cons
When we tried the cloning tool it wasn't always successful.
Alternatives Considered
ForgeResponse from SpinupWP
Thanks for the kind words David! 🙂
We've identified that when the clone tool fails, it's often on the last step: find & replace. We're planning to split that step out into a separate job, so that if it fails, it's clear what fails and the rest of the clone still succeeds. You can then just retry running the find & replace instead of running the entire clone again. We're hoping this will be a nice improvement in the reliability of the clone tool. - Brad

A modern wordpress management tool
SpinupWP is generally a really good option for WordPress and PHP. However, I'm a massive fan of platforms like Vercel, which have nailed the atomic deployment pipeline and a seamless developer experience. Over time, I have moved towards NextJS and Vercel due to this dev experience. SpinupWP is trying to bring WordPress into the modern era, but sometimes I feel like WordPress is a losing battle. That said, kudos to the SpinupWP team who do an amazing job at supporting developers and bringing WP forward.
Pros
It brought WordPress development into this century by allowing a CI/CD-type setup. It is also a pretty simple and straightforward interface with fairly good documentation.
Cons
It nags you about having recommended plugins (Limit Login Attempts Reloaded), even though we deliberately use an alternative. It would be nice to have notifications integrated with Slack. It would be great if it could somehow support atomic deployments (currently, if my build fails for some reason, then I have to log into the server and troubleshoot it, leaving me with a broken site).
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the very nice review and feedback Matt! Slack notifications are on our roadmap for the not too distant future and atomic deployments are on our radar, but not scheduled yet. As you may well be aware, you can use Buddy.works for atomic deployments now. -Brad

High quality tool for server management
SpinupWP allowed us to open up an extra revenue stream for our business with minimal effort.
Pros
I trust that how the SpinupWP app sets up servers is the right and most efficient way to do this for WordPress sites - the team has years of knowledge of the intricacies of WordPress. The app itself is very easy to use and covers most common administrative tasks. Issues with servers are minimal, and often, the support team will be able to advise on how to solve these.
Cons
I still have to delve into server configuration for some tasks, such as setting up WebP image delivery or adjusting cache rules. This is pretty tedious, especially with a growing number of servers. Would be nice if better defaults were in place for these, or at least there was some way to manage this in SpinupWP.
Reasons for Switching to SpinupWP
Lower price than managed hosting and the high quality of the product itself.Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the review Tom, glad to hear SpinupWP is working well for you! 🙂 There's certainly room for improvement around defaults. We've had that feedback lots, mostly around defaults for backups, and have been thinking about how best to tackle it. No timeline yet though. -Brad

Perfect for the user who prefers to DIY host, but with guardrails.
I've saved more than $10,000 over the past 5 years hosting my own and my clients' sites with SpinupWP.
Pros
The cost is a fraction of hosting websites elsewhere with comparable performance benchmarks.
Cons
It's hard to complain about such a bargain, but if I could get the ability to pair with Domain registrars to more seamlessly handle DNS. But that's not a fair complaint. It's a feature request.
Response from SpinupWP
Yes! I can hardly wait until we have an integration for Amazon Route 53 or Cloudflare DNS. It's going to make so many things slicker in the app. Thanks for the very nice review! 🙂 - Brad

Truly a great product made by nice people.
Pros
Everything just works as expected, and the features are thoughtfully crafted. Meaningful and fast interface. Nice support that listens and takes criticism to heart.
And it gets better and better every few months with updates.
Cons
That I need to scroll down 1000 lines in the logs to get to the latest entries.
Response from SpinupWP
Woohoo, thanks for the review Peter! 🙂 That log viewer could definitely be improved. We've discussed reversing the order so the latest entries are at the top.

Excellent WordPress server management
Great, they're excellent. Easy setup, good pricing, nice interface.
Pros
Interface is intuitive and easy to use. I really like the way they handle server updates & notifications. They add new features at a solid pace. The pricing is good. Their docs are good. I've had to contact support maybe 1-2 times in 3+ years, and they were quick to respond and helpful.
Cons
I literally have zero issues with them, they're great.

Best carefree platform for managing my VPS
Pros
What do I like and what was the main reason for me to pick SpinupWP is that I was sick and tired of managing my server and it was a security nightmare. Now for most of the things care SpinapWP platform, I have more time to manage my business.
Cons
I would like to see more beginner-friendly tutorials and especially more videos.
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the review David! We've been discussing making things more beginner friendly recently. We have a beginner SSH tutorial coming out soon and we're planning to add more features to the app that you currently have to do manually, like removing old versions of PHP. - Brad

Like a no-fuss sysadmin on tap for self-hosted WordPress
Absolutely love it - when I went from a team with a retained sysadmin to freelancing again, SpinupWP gave me the missing management layer and confidence to run some big projects (>1m users/day) on virtual servers.
It saves me hours in updates alone, and a sense of control over infrastructure wrapped in an interface I can use without learning a whole new language.
Pros
Love the elegance of the system, and that all the functional tasks you need to cover for WordPress have been thought of from SSL to file permissions, basic auth to private key restriction. So much less fuss and obstruction than a regular control panel - and you still manage your server directly when you need it
Cons
Hard to say - minor UI issues like annoying paginated results or slightly tucked-away settings
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks Steph! So glad to hear you appreciate what we've been building. 🙂

It's a great product and eases server admin
Love it, won't go back to setting up servers manually any time soon.
Pros
It doesn't overtake your server, you still have complete management over it.
It makes setting up sites for production, staging & testing a breeze, as you can easily duplicate sites and copy them between different servers if needed.
Love the automation with git and push to deploy, makes the workflow really simple.
Love the automated backups which makes it super simple to have your site backed up to an alternative hosting provider and restored in no time at all.
Cons
It is missing a dashboard of sorts that shows you how your servers & sites are performing, but not a huge deal as most hosting providers provide this anyway.
Response from SpinupWP
Love it, thanks for the review Vivian! 🙂

Great way to spin up a new server and host multiple domains!
Really really positive. I have recommended this service onto many others already. I even told an executive at AWS that their system is not user-friendly for non technical people. They agreed!
Pros
Once I spun up my droplet on DigitalOcean (SpinupWP provided a comprehensive checklist on how to do this), I could immediately add a new domain. They gave a step-by-step to point my DNS to my droplet. Since then, I have added five new domains to my Droplet. I also upgraded my Droplet to handle the new load.
Cons
While not something that will change, I have had a client running on Apache and another on Lightspeed with WordPress installs, and I fonud it difficult in SpinupWP as their architecture only supports NGINX.

The Missing WordPress Hosting Dashboard
Pros
It has a modern and intuitive interface, allowing us to automatically spin up new AWS EC2 instances for WordPress hosting and subsequently create and manage individual WordPress instances much faster than the usual manual process.
Cons
Initially, they did not support Graviton EC2 instances, which caused some setbacks for us. That said, they now fully support this.

Take matters in your own hands
Love it, if you don't mind tinkering with your own servers a bit and know what you are doing, this is the solution for you.
Pros
Compared to many hosting solutions I tried (shared hosting, managed hosting, tinkering with a bare metal server), spinup is the best of all worlds combined. It gives me the ease of use of a straightforward hosting panel but without the premium of managed hosting.
Cons
for some really advanced stuff you have to tinker in the server configuration yourself. But I find myself doing that less and less since more features are getting an user interface like the new GUI for redirects.

Perfect tool for any web dev to remove the hassle of server management
Pros
Like all Delicious Brains (and ex-Delicious Brains!) products, SpinupWP is perfectly simple and brilliantly though-through. It gives you control over everything you need, takes care of everything else, and has fantastic documentation.
Cons
Hard to think of a negative, but I guess it would be the pricing structure that means you pay per server. Seems a bit counter-intuitive but I understand why.

What we ended up with was a solid WP installation that excels at speed tests and keeps getting updates and daily backups all handled by SpinupWP.

Pros
No more intrusion into WP sites ! no more xxx links on pages, no more reputation blocking, no more fear when it comes to update WP or plugins ;-)

Easy to use, stable and in constant development
Pros
– Easy to use
– Nice interface
– Good basic functionality (setting up wordpress, move wordpress between servers, external backup)
Cons
– at the moment only daily backup is possible. But they are working on an update to change that
– in the personal plan the monitoring feature is not available
– would be nice to see more server stats (cpu usage, ram usage etc per server)

Great for managing lots of client sites
Pros
I use SpinupWP to manage websites for clients. In the past, we would go with someone like WP Engine or Flywheel, but in those situations you're tied to their infrastructure. With SpinupWP, I usually deploy solely to AWS and have never had any issues.
Cons
Maybe some more integrations with various SaaS providers could be cool.
Reasons for Switching to SpinupWP
It offers more control and has more of a focus on WordPress developers than general and potentially non-technical WordPressResponse from SpinupWP
Great to hear Owen! I'd be curious to know what SaaS providers you had in mind. We're planning to launch some more cloud server and storage integrations including an AWS integration with several of their services in the near future and integrate with Cloudflare and Slack further down the line, but that's about it.

Fast - simple - efficient
Happy user here. This tool saves us a lot of time and downtime.
There is just one single feature I would really like: Copying WP instances, for example copying a testing or staging instance to the live site. For this, I now have to use a plugin in WP that copies whole WP instances between URL's, but it would be GREAT if I could do that from within the SpinUpWP app.
Pros
It is super easy to use, and you are up-and-running in no time. Adding a new server, database or WP instance is easy as 1-2-3. Also, the integrated certificate management works like a breeze.
Cons
The fact that I found it a little expensive adding a 2nd server. But the tool expanded recently and now there is a lot more value because of the server monitoring and to-do lists.
Response from SpinupWP
Thanks for the very nice review Daniel! 🙂
