OMS can also send order and shipping confirmations and produce customer-facing invoices, statements, and refunds.

Inventory, Purchasing and Catalog Management

Maintain visibility into inventory across locations and channels while managing styles, kits, product information, pricing, purchasing, receiving, backorders, and replenishment-related workflows. Centralized product and merchandising information can be distributed to connected ecommerce channels.

Fulfillment and Warehouse Operations

Coordinate picking, packing, shipping, split shipments, backorders, and returns. Warehouse capabilities include receiving, bin management, inventory movements, cycle counts, barcode scanning, and RF-enabled workflows designed to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Point of Sale

Ability POS can operate as a standalone module or as part of the Ability OMS solution. It connects in-person sales with customer, inventory, payment, and order information to support consistent operations across retail and direct-commerce channels.

Reporting and Integrations

Configurable reporting helps teams monitor orders, inventory, sales, promotions, and operational performance. APIs and integrations connect Ability OMS with ecommerce storefronts, marketplaces, payment, shipping, and accounting systems, including Ability Web Store, BigCommerce, and Shopify.

Ability OMS is enterprise-capable order management software, not a full ERP or accounting system. It assigns accounting information to transactions and supports customer-facing billing processes, while completed transactions can be transferred to separate accounting software.

Ability Web Store is available as a separate, integrated ecommerce platform for organizations that also need a customer-facing online storefront.

> **Pros**: Ease of use for entering orders and customers.  The ability to create meaningful reporting.

> **Cons**: Limited Payment processor options and payment processing quirks.

> We've used the product since 2007 in its 1.0 version.  We have seen a lot of changes and good things happen to the software but remain on the self-hosted platform whereas it seems a lot of their current development is focused on Azure Hosted environments.  Hoping to get there or some form of a SAaS model at some point.

You have the option to use integrations for pieces but do not have to do it for most things. They are always responsive and helpful when an issue does arise.

> **Cons**: I wish they were not moving everything to Azure cloud.

> They have been awesome to work with especially from an IT perspective. They have knowledgeable staff to assist.
