Dayforce Provides An Innovative All-In-One Solution
I have been using Dayforce for almost 10 years. We still don't use all the modules (even though I would like to) but I hope we get there in the next few years. The features we currently use have positively impacted our efficiency and accountability. I greatly enjoyed attending the Insights conferences for several years and look forward to the new Discover Dayforce event this year. The FIT sessions, demonstrations, product updates, and opportunities to meet one-on-one with customer support reps are extremely valuable.
Pros
Everything is in one place and they are constantly innovating by adding or updating features to manage the changing needs of employers and the workforce. I feel comfortable with their efforts to ensure the highest levels of compliance.
Cons
Like every application there are little quirks and malfunctions from time to time. I have found Dayforce support to be helpful in these cases. Also, since it is such a robust system it can take a while to learn your way around, but the community and support portal provide needed resources.

Untrained Staff
Long long wait time to get to support. Then was put on even longer holds with no explanation as why. Was passed three times from one person to the next. A bunch of untrained kids have been put on the phones who do not even know how to talk and empathies with customer. No apology for the long holds. They won't even listen when you try to explain the problem.
Pros
They used to have a very good customer support line, but not anymore.
Cons
The product is good and works fine as long as you don't have to deal with their support over the phone.

Dayforce - a very intuitive sytem.
Transitioning from an in-house system to Dayforce is the best decision we ever made. Although implementation during covid was rough, and going live, we still have many policies not correctly configured. But after 3 years of using dayforce, I was able to modify some entitlement policies, pay policies that were not working properly. I do not have a computer programming background but the dayforce is so intuitive that I was able to do so.
Pros
The dayforce system is very intuitive. The continues calculation is a hot seller for me.
Cons
Initially reporting is the feature I liked least but once I'm getting the hang of it, it's not too bad.

Dayforce - Almost Perfect Platform for HR & Payroll
I've been using Dayforce as a Payroll administrator for the last 5 years. My experience has been very good. One of the best platforms I've used for Payroll.
Pros
The fact that HR and Payroll are linked together in one seamless application. The web interface and mobile app are very well-designed and useful.
Cons
Dayforce has an enormous amount of data that can be accessed—so much in fact that finding the right report to include all the data you want can be overwhelming. Not all the data is transferable between reports. For example, Timesheet data is not always able to be included with Payroll data.

Dayforce - A workplace must
It has been a positive user experience and easy to use. I have also enjoyed the app’s layout and variety. Due to this I prefer it to its competitors
Pros
I use Dayforce for work and is my new favourite amongst the rostering platforms. Training tasks can be completed from Dayforce and it allows for details about training and upcoming shift information. The homepage layout provides a suitable amount of personalised content regarding upcoming work preventing endless searching. The platform is also easily accessible from the web and the app.

Great HCM for complex companies.
we feel very supported and solid from a platform and compliance perspective. They really have a deep bench of help.
Pros
Integration options, both import, and exports. The platform is very stable and the R&D efforts are second to none.

Great System, but only as good as the effort you put in.
I like the system a lot, but it is so extensive that it's impossible for any super user to really understand all of the granular functionality/configuration.
Pros
Flexibility and constant innovation. The software is intuitive but does need IT/Financial Analyst support to really have it set up well.
Cons
Some things that should be included in the software (basic reports) require that you pay for customization. Not a big fan of the transition from implementation to support. The hand off is very abrupt.

Dayforce User/Admin 5+ years
Our overall experience with Dayforce has been great, we have used it for 5+ years and don't plan on leaving anytime soon!
Pros
I like that the system is very intuitive and has many modules that we use and connect. We used Dayforce for payroll, benefits, recruiting, performance, compensation, and so on. The system is very user friendly and easy to use.
We also use Dayforce Wallet which is the on demand pay feature and is a huge sucess with our employees.

Dayforce HCM is definitely the most powerful payroll system that I have used in a long time. It is my top choice when it comes to Payroll and HCM providers.
Pros
The implementation team was very knowledgeable and they listened to what we had and how we wanted to improve the new system. They were so easy to work with.

Why choose Dayforce?
Overall, Dayforce has been able to meet our needs and our support team is always available when questions come up. Our TAM has made the transition to Dayforce as well as our day to day issues n opportunity to learn and resolve instead of pain points that frustrate us.
Pros
Dayforce is as close to one stop shopping as we could find and still be able to meet our needs. Having so much data in one spot allows for powerful reporting.
Cons
If Dayforce had an internal ability to electronically sign documents it would be so much easier to set up and maintain onboarding documents.

Dayforce makes user experience, reporting, and payroll processing easy
Dayforce's ongoing calculating options and support for large payroll batches are invaluable. I am relieved to have the ability to provide timely salary spending reports to upper management.
Pros
In addition to the system's features, I appreciate Ceridian's helpful staff and customer service. Ceridian has clearly given careful consideration to the full scope of the employee experience, as evidenced by the cohesiveness of its many modules. The fact that they interact with one another is a plus.
Cons
I wish I had been given more background or forewarning about the actual process of implementation. It's a real slog, and I didn't feel ready for it with the resources at my disposal. If I'd realized it was going to be such a slog, I would have made more of an effort to get ready.

I appreciate how easy it is to commit payroll using Ceridian
It's aesthetically pleasing and uncluttered. Instantaneous and efficient payroll processing. I like that it always seeks for new and better features. Many of our company's manual processes have been eliminated thanks to Ceridan Dayforce.
Pros
Dayforce streamlines our human resources, payroll, benefits, time tracking, recruiting, and onboarding processes, increasing productivity, profitability, and morale across the board.
Cons
I didn't like the reporting since you couldn't change some of it and it was all in PDF format, but they've made great strides in that direction in the three years since we started working here. V2 reporting allows for more flexibility and personalization.

Does the job
Generally positive. It's niche for certain industries, US or Canada are great.
Pros
Effective and customizable US timetracking, labor cost features, balance tracking, and payroll processing.
Cons
Recruiting/Candidate functions are clunky and not fully integrated in a meaningful way. Forms/workflows require a lot of expertise and trial/error. Majority countries in APAC are not 'native' payroll engines, so there's a lot of rules and parameters, not a lot of flexibility or automation without some out-of-system workarounds.

Pros

Pros
The full integration. It is amazing to have all components in a single system. The customization opportunities are a blessing and a curse. It is amazing to truly take the system and make it what you need it to be, but on the flip side, it can be cumbersome to have unlimited options.
Cons

Dayforce Review
Pros
Dayforce has many great features. The HUB is a great new additional in the last 2 years. It provides a great place to house important information easily. Onboarding is really nice and streamlined. It is easy to navigate and set up. If you have the Onboarding HUB, visibly it provides a new start to the candidate experience. I have worked with the Performance and Compensation module the last 3 years and it has a lot of neat functionality and pretty easy to navigate.
Cons
Dayforce is very technical. It is nice to know you can build customize forms but not coming from an IT background, trying to learn SQL has been a challenge. There are a lot of nice reports but it is very challenging to set up certain reports utilizing custom fields. Dayforce is constantly enhancing their products but continually to have to pay for each new enhancement the majority of the time is challenging especially coming from a Non-Profit world when we already utilize most of the system.

Frustration & Disappointment
Pros
I cannot think of a single thing that I like about Dayforce.
Cons
Throughout our implementation process, persistent issues plagued our experience with Dayforce. Right from the start, we faced issues with faulty system configuration, including confidential data being accessible to lower level employees. We have been told by support personnel at Dayforce that our system is improperly configured.
Our implementation manager failed to address concerns adequately and failed to conclude the professional relationship officially. Instead, we were left with a slew of unresolved issues and unanswered inquiries. Despite scheduled follow-up meetings, these sessions were repeatedly abandoned by the manager. Frustratingly, after weeks of unanswered emails and our futile attempts at problem-solving, we were told from our implementation manager that she had to get permission to charge more billable hours to us, and that was why she hadn't communicated with us in several weeks.
Seven months post-implementation, our file feeds for benefits remain incomplete. Despite our immediate request following implementation, this crucial aspect of our system has yet to be fully operational. The persistent issues we face significantly hamper our productivity, particularly concerning our convoluted payroll setup. The payroll segment of Dayforce has demonstrated a lack of accountability, particularly evident in their response to our 401(k) compliance challenges, where they offered no satisfactory solutions and essentially shrugged off their responsibilities.
We have given Dayforce several opportunities to rectify their errors, despite our profoundly disappointing experience. Even external stakeholders collaborating with us have expressed sheer astonishment at the abysmal quality of the system, citing unprecedented dissatisfaction in their professional interactions with other clients.
Dayforce's performance has been deeply unsatisfactory, characterized by consistent lapses in competence and professionalism, leaving our organization in a state of perpetual frustration and disappointment as we face unresolved issues that directly impact our functionality and productivity.

Pros
The routine basics of setting up payroll including any adjustments for each pay period works smoothly. The audit features in the system highlight issues that should be looked at more closely before committing the pay.
