# ParkEfficient

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.ie/software/508809/Parkefficient

> Who it is for

ParkEfficient was built for the person who ends up owning the car park by accident. Usually that is someone in HR, facility management or mobility management who never applied for the job of deciding who gets which space, and who now spends part of every week answering the same three questions: is there a space for me tomorrow, why does that colleague have a permanent one, and who do I call because the barrier will not open.

The everyday problem

Most companies do not have too few spaces. They have too little transparency. Permanent holders keep spaces they no longer need on home-office days. Waiting lists are kept in spreadsheets. Visitors are announced by email, or not at all. The result is a car park that looks full at 8:30 and stands half empty at 11:00, plus a steady stream of complaints that lands on one desk.

How it works

Employees request a space for the days they actually come in, from the app or the browser. The evening before, an allocation algorithm distributes the available spaces according to rules you define: department, attendance, priority groups, shift, vehicle type, accessibility needs, or the filling order of your sites. Everyone is notified, confirms, and knows where to park before setting off. Spaces that are released go straight back into the pool for the next person.

What administrators get

A live view of every site, occupancy and usage reports over time, and a record of who was allocated what and when. Visitors, service providers, pool cars and company vehicles are handled in the same place, so there is one source of truth rather than a spreadsheet, a mailbox and a gate keeper. Rules are configured, not coded, so changes to your parking policy do not require a project.

Hardware and payments

Existing infrastructure stays. Barriers, sensors, licence plate recognition and RFID are connected rather than replaced, and QR codes cover sites where there is no hardware at all. EV charging can be booked together with the space, so charging and parking are one process. Where you charge for parking, billing runs through PayPal, Stripe or TWINT, or through your own payroll deduction.

Security and compliance

ParkEfficient is ISO 27001 certified, hosted in Germany and accessibility certified, with SSO through Entra ID, Okta and comparable providers. Works councils and data protection officers get a system that documents rules rather than individual movement profiles, which is usually what unblocks the internal approval.

Onboarding and support

A first call clarifies whether ParkEfficient fits before anyone talks about contracts. Simple setups without new hardware are typically live in two to four weeks; installations with barrier integration, licence plate recognition or several sites take four to eight. You get a named contact for the rollout, support in German and English, and help with the internal communication that decides whether employees actually use the system.

More than 300 companies use ParkEfficient, among them Miele and apoBank.
