Already a very good solution on its way to become greater and greater
Pros
The product is relatively easy and quick to subscribe to, deploy, and use. We love how beautiful and uncluttered their apps are (mobile and desktop). The most needed features are covered with Motive's basic subscription and when coupled with a higher subscription and AI real-time dashcams, Motive leads the way as a premier partner for trucking companies.
Cons
We do not hesitate to use their 24/7 support (phone/chat) to better understand the product and to resolve issues. However, the best way to contact them is by phone as sometimes we tend to be less understood through the chat application and it happened several times we were left without a response for long periods of time. I recommend calling them directly for quick follow-ups and resolutions.

Don't 2nd Guess..Make the Switch
Everything so far, has been phenomenal. They helped us transition from our old platform, and integrate all of our units.

Charges for services not provided
Horrible we sold a truck 2 weeks after our renewal and they will not refund the charges on the remainder of the year the eld is not being used

Nothing worst company i have dealt with. The account manager ([sensitive content hidden]) would not help or put us through to somebody that could she claimed she was the only one that couldn't help us

Couldn't live without
Motiv made our lives simpler. I would definitely recommend to anyone starting out, as there's a ton of regulations to keep up with, use Motiv to help with your ELD needs, but the IFTA tax portion is a MUST HAVE.
Pros
Motive- Formally Keep Trucking, was a great ELD software to help out drivers stay compliant.
Easy view of all clocks from homepage.
Reports and logs are easily accessable.
Ifta Fuel Tax Reporting made simple.
Cons
Cost. For Mom and Pop trucking companies, it is just another added expense. But to be fair, I don't know what their competitors charge.

Very good system with good user interface. Easy to navigate, good safety and equipment reporting. Makes coaching easy and helps change driver behavior.
Pros
In cab coaching, real time feedback is the best method for influencing behavior.
Cons
Cornering events are inconsistent and hard to coach.

Transportation Foreman job just got easier
It has been a process to learn the very interactive reporting platform. I can find all truck data + in a minute as well as track the entire fleet at 1 time.
Pros
The support team in specific [sensitive content hidden] are the best I have seen in the industry. They are taking care of all of our needs and we have roughly 10,000 trucks in our fleet.
Cons
We did not move on from our previous ELD company sooner!

Cowtown Dispatch
Its been really great and they are always improving and coming up with new features.
Pros
The on time notifications I get when trucks enter restricted toll ways and when we are in an accident Motive sends a quick notification with all the facts we need to proceed with our Safety Team.
Cons
When replaying drivers trips it gives 1 minute replays of a 3 minute request and it would be nice to get it available to rewind or fast forward the request.

Very good, but there is room for improvement.
Our account representative changed 3 times in almost 6 months. We had an accident with one of our trucks where the camera got destroyed in the wreck. Even after sending the camera in, we still couldn't get the footage.
Pros
Ease of tracking drivers and logs. We were able to easily obtain and schedule maintenance records for all vehicles.
Cons
Customer service and obtaining footage from accidents.

They charged us again after we canceled their services and refuse to refund us AGAIN!!
Last year we were going to start a company, so we were getting everything in place to get started. We ended up not doing the business, didn't even start. So we called to cancel Motive. They would not refund our money. Then last month, a year later, they charged our credit card again. They won't refund it again! Even though we canceled them last year and never even used their services.

I did not like anything about working with Motive. They were very hard to get a hold of. Their policies are terrible!

They stole our money and refuse to accept our cancellation.

Meeting the employees of Motive in person allowed us to share ideas, ask questions, and build stronger connections. Through Motive Chat, I've always been able to get my questions answered promptly and effectively. Motive has been instrumental in keeping our company out of lawsuits that weren't our fault, providing us with peace of mind. Additionally, my drivers have often mentioned how the safety insights from Motive have influenced their personal driving habits, making them safer and more conscientious on the road. The summit reaffirmed my belief in the value that Motive brings to our operations.

Partnering with FusionSite Services, we integrated Motive's truck camera system into our vehicles, and it has proven to be an invaluable asset. The system excels in monitoring our fleet, ensuring quality control, and facilitating truck maintenance. Perhaps most importantly, it has safeguarded our company and drivers by providing crucial evidence in accidents that could have otherwise been difficult to dispute. Additionally, Motive has played a pivotal role in coaching our drivers to improve their skills, leading to safer and more efficient driving habits. This investment has undoubtedly enhanced our fleet management and overall operational integrity.

One area where Motive could significantly improve is in the realm of maintenance management. While the platform does offer a way to create maintenance schedules, it falls short when it comes to creating and managing work orders. For instance, if a mechanic is performing preventive maintenance on a truck and notices an issue that needs attention, there is currently no straightforward way to document this issue for future action. The ability to generate a work order in such scenarios would be incredibly beneficial, allowing mechanics to note repairs or tasks that can be addressed later when time permits. Technology at it's best
I've used about 3 other systems but I don't remember their names and by far this system has surpass them.
Pros
We get to know sooner which truck a driver chooses, and I also like the Follow Mode for those time sensitive assignments.
Cons
I don't like to make the map the full screen because I can't browse through tabs so before I used to minimize the menu on the left hand side to have a bit more of the map with the unit numbers but a few months back that feature was removed so now I cant minimize it.

Horrible, horrible horrible use so many options. These guys will take your money and never call you back again and then give you random calls acting like they are following up on customer service.

Unfortunate Experience
Overall the Motive functionality works but based on the pricing and the wasted hours it took for me to rectify the issue of being overcharged it is unlikely I will use Motive moving forward. Additionally, the pricing is not competitive with other similar companies.
Pros
The real time tracking is critical in my industry. The log reporting makes it easy to file quarterly reporting. The people on the service side have always been helpful.
Cons
The sales team attempted to defraud me and not keep their promises. It took over six calls and countless wasted hours to get Motive to honor what was promised to me in writing. Due to this lack of professionalism it is extremely unlikely that I will use Motive after my contract ends.

Great for Any Driver
We have a very good experience so far. It has been a lifesaver for the logbook record-keeping.
Pros
The features I like most are the real-time tracking, trip history and logbook integration. It makes trucking and managing driver much easier with less hassle.
Cons
The site is easy enough to navigate with some coaching. A more intuitive format and labeling would be helpful. it seems to take a lot of clicks to access some of the information that should be more readily available, such as histories or reports.

You will regret signing up with Motive formerly keeptruckin
They will make you sign up for 36 months and you would want to cancel it the very first month, but you will not be able to do so. Do not listen to the sales agent, they are not going to mention the 3 years contract and all they want you to sign the contract. The drivers need lots of help when it comes to correcting times and schedules, but they will never help you.

I can promise you; you will not like it at all when it comes to their support.
Cons
Their customer service. They are not helpful at all.

Significant reduction in fraudulent and wasteful experiences. It is the market leading solution to physical economy safety and reliability.

Motive has been my best friend in the field of softwares. It is very accurate to reduce the risks on the road using the AI. It also saves us time and cost with deep insights into vehicle health, location and use. Theft prevention is well executed making it quite secure and precise.
Cons
Customer Experience was not as expected. I rarely get feedbacks on time. That should probably be the point to improve on.

Good alternative to the big bulky ELD screens
I like the motive ELD app is convenient. You don’t have to get a big bulky screen installed in your work truck and the app is very user-friendly. However, the financial tactics could be better. Inform the customer about the lump sum fee instead of telling them great price.
Pros
You can use your cell phone instead of the big clock screen that you had to get installed in your semi truck
Cons
The one thing I don’t like about motive is their financial tactics. They’ll tell you a great price, but they failed to inform you that you have to pay a lump sum fee.

Motive to Move
Motive was easy to set up with our client specialists, and great support during the set up of the program for our company. Any questions or concerns they answer as best as they can, and if it is a new issue they work on resolving it ASAP.
Pros
Great customer support 24/7. They also have a community board where other users can discuss issues or concerns that they ran into on Motive, and how they solved the issue. Motive is active on this as well, answering any concerns as well as they can.
Cons
The only concern i would say about motive is that it is not a satellite telematics service. In long haul trucking we travel to a lot of areas where there is no cell service, and this leads to issues/concerns with tracking the unit.

I have had motive for 4 yrs now and overall its been easy to navigate and edit .
Pros
Easy to edit time when you forget, many times i forget to log my trips but i find easy to edit and get my logs correct.
Cons
Sometimes it disconnects from the unit inside the truck.

Support from Motive has been great. They have good training and technical documentation. Everything works as it should with nice features and reports. No complaints whatsoever.
Pros
We use the Motive Dashcam and Omnicams on our fleet of trucks. There are plenty of features to cover everything needed. What I like best is how easy it is to maintain everything on their website. Finding video clips is very intuitive and having that video documentation is invaluable when needed.
Cons
I haven't really found any negatives so far.

Big tool with minimal componenets
Customer support is excellent, web and app content great, especially the ability to manage the fleet from the phone app. In vehicle cameras are excellent and the ability to set adjust or remove parameters you want monitored

Motive is a great tool to manage your fleet!
Overall we are very impressed with Motive and will continue using it to boost our Preventative Maintenance program, lone worker program, and help us to remain compliant with regulations.
Pros
We like that we can see details such as speeds, infractions, hazards, and maintenance items all in one place. Motive helps us to keep our drivers safe, while remaining compliant with regulatory bodies. Our preventative maintenance program has been greatly improved with the notifications of mechanical issues that may arise.
Cons
The only con to Motive would be when the GPS signal drops. Unfortunately operating out of northern Canada, it can get patchy with reception and occasionally that does affect the performance of the GPS.

Multiple people pro active calling to sell you what you don’t need but won’t help you when you need to cancel what you don’t use

Works when it works good, however the customer service is terrible. They will not help you cancel boxes you no longer use

I'm a huge fan of Motive and would recommend to anyone in trucking or transportation.
Pros
I am a huge fan of Motive (formerly Keeptruckin) the customer service is A+++!
They are so quick to respond and help guide you or even your drivers to get set up. The app is very user friendly and keeps you on track and organized.
Cons
It can be a little expensive, if you are starting your own Transporation company but this is well worth the money, as you will be glad this app does so much to keep you organized, especially when it is time to run IFTA reports.

They committed fraud with my bank account
Unethical business experience. Bad customer service. Bad correspondence. Total bad experience when a company takes $960 without your apptt

That I was able to make a payment once a year without auto pay.

They committed fraud with my bank account. I never authorized motive to auto debt my account. I actually told them I don’t allow auto payments with my account. So they claimed to have sent me an email that stated I would be on auto pay after me telling them I don’t allow auto pay. So they debit my account in 2023 and 2024 without my knowledge, no receipt and no communication. They did not want to refund my money even though I wasn’t using the ELD and did not authorize the transaction. After 2 days of phone conversation the refunded one payment but not the other. FYI a company can not debit your account without your approval. What they did was unethical, my bank and attorney agree. Be CAUTIOUS dealing with this company. $960 debit from my account without my approval

Good and bad
I have been their customer for almost 2 years. They call me many times and Thats how I got their ELD and Dashcam. Unfortunately trucking business is went to a bad situation and I had to close down my business. Even if I was a good customer and I explained what is going on they didn’t even refund anything. I pay yearly and now they are saying I am in contract with 3 years and I have to pay next year also again because they can’t help anything with. I am advising everyone before you sign up with this company. They are not user friendly as you think. They give lots of wonderful words to make you sign with them but once you signed up they act differently. Beware about this matter please

I would look elsewhere
I would honestly look elsewhere if I was in the market to get a logbook. They make it very easy to lock you in and get your logbook connected and your debit card charged. Once that’s complete, they are done with you and wether their machine works or not is beyond them.
Pros
I love how their sales team absolutely bombarded me with emails, calls, voicemail.
Cons
Their ability to first of all fix a problems that has been identified, second the ability for them to still charge you the money you agreed upon when they are not providing ANY service.
