It began in a Pilates studio in Logan, Queensland, as an answer to small studios paying high prices for software built for large chains, full of features a one- or two-location studio never uses. Who it suits Clovo is for studio owners who would rather spend their day teaching than chasing bookings and payments. It works for a new studio getting everything ready months before opening day, and for an established studio that has outgrown its current system and wants clients to manage their own bookings. A booking app with your brand on it Clients book and pay in the Clovo app on iPhone and Android. Once a client chooses your studio, the app takes on your logo and colours and stays dedicated to your studio, so you get a branded app without building or maintaining one. Every studio also gets a mobile-friendly booking page on its own clovo.app address, and the live timetable can be embedded in an existing WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or Webflow site. Running the studio Owners and instructors use the same app as clients, with a management view for checking people in, editing classes and handling cancellations from the studio floor. A full desktop dashboard covers everything else. Timetables stay open a set number of days ahead, with popup classes, substitute instructors, closures and reserved spots. Each class can use automatic, offer-based or manual waitlists, so a cancelled spot is offered to the next person straight away. Memberships and payments Sell recurring memberships, credit packs, drop-in bookings, introductory offers, private deals for selected clients, gift purchases and family bookings. Payments go through the studio's own Stripe account by card or Australian direct debit (BECS and PayTo). Failed renewals are retried automatically and clients are prompted to update their card. Membership pauses, late-cancel penalties and booking reminders are handled without staff stepping in. Keeping members coming back Reporting covers attendance, revenue, fill rate, churn, cohort retention and lifetime value, with CSV export for your accountant. Clovo flags members whose attendance pattern has changed, giving your team a clear list to follow up before a cancellation. Referrals, promo codes, announcements, achievements and a member shop for merchandise and retail help bring new people in and keep regulars engaged. An iPad check-in kiosk, liability waivers, health and intake forms, staff tasks and multi-location support are all included. For studios that track client progress, Progress Notes give instructors a client's full history while they write the next note. Notes are encrypted, never shown to the client, and every save keeps the previous version, so the record stays auditable. Simple, earnings-based pricing There is one plan with every feature included. Clovo is free to use until the studio starts taking payments. After that, Clovo adds 1% to the Stripe fee on each sale, capped at A$1,100 + GST a year. There are no setup fees, monthly fees, lock-in contracts or credit card requirements, and clients never pay a booking fee. Money stays in the studio's Stripe account until it is paid out to an Australian bank account. Clovo's fee drops automatically in a slow month, and a break with no sales costs nothing.
