# Teiro

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.ie/software/539385/Teiro

> Teiro is a care workforce platform built for Australian disability support, aged care and community health organisations, most often those running 10 to 500 care staff. Operations managers, care coordinators and compliance leads use it to run rostering, NDIS billing, medication management, incident reporting and staff credentialing from one product instead of a scatter of spreadsheets, paper forms and personal phone messages.

Rostering happens on a drag-and-drop board that flags a double-booking or a qualification gap the moment a shift is assigned, not after a carer turns up unqualified at a client's door. Carers work from a dedicated iOS and Android app: today's shifts, GPS-confirmed check-in and check-out, and incident reporting from the field. GPS capture is best-effort, so a check-in still goes ahead without location attached if it can't resolve in a few seconds, rather than holding a carer up. Where there is no mobile signal at all, a real problem in regional and outer-metro home care, check-in and check-out queue on the device and sync once reception returns.

Billing runs are built from shifts that are already completed and verified, rated against each participant's service agreement, whether agency-managed, plan-managed or self-managed. A line with a problem, such as no attendance evidence, no active service agreement, or an expired worker screening check, is held automatically with the reason attached, rather than going out or being quietly dropped. Agency-managed claims come out as a bulk payment request file in the format the NDIA requires; Teiro does not submit to PRODA or PACE directly, so a person uploads that file through the myplace provider portal. Plan-managed and self-managed participants get an invoice straight from the platform, and remittances are matched back to claim lines automatically once they come in.

The medication administration record covers monthly and daily views, single and batch dosing, PRN tracking and Webster pack recording, and every dose gets a signature whatever the outcome: given, refused, withheld, self-administered or missed. Schedule 8 and other controlled drugs step up to a fresh biometric or PIN confirmation instead of the ordinary one-tap saved signature.

An incident is timestamped the moment a carer raises it, and aged care providers get workflow support for the Serious Incident Response Scheme: deadline tracking and the record needed to lodge a notification, without Teiro deciding reportability or lodging it on the provider's behalf. Assignment is credential-gated, a client's required competencies and any safeguarding exclusion are checked automatically before a shift can be assigned, and qualification expiries carry their own automated alerts.

Client messaging runs through Teiro rather than a carer's own phone. Rostering someone onto a visit opens a messaging channel automatically, the client gets an ordinary SMS from Teiro's one Australian platform number, and every message stays on the client's record. Progress and shift notes live on the client record and the shift itself rather than in a personal diary or a text thread. Travel time and kilometres get logged against the job, go through a coordinator's approval, and bill against the organisation's configured NDIS travel item.

Pricing is the same product at every size. The first 5 active users in an organisation are free indefinitely, no credit card required and nothing held back feature-wise; it is a pricing floor rather than a stripped-down tier. Extra seats on the Standard plan are $9 AUD per active user per month, so a 10-user organisation pays for 5. A Professional plan at $29 AUD per active user per month adds faster support response and an onboarding call, on the same full platform.

Teiro is built and hosted in Australia. Providers comparing options in this category often also look at ShiftCare, Lumary, Brevity and CareMaster

## About the vendor

- **Company**: Teiro

## Commercial Context

- **Starting Price**: A$9.00
- **Pricing model**: Per User (Free version available) (Free Trial)
- **Pricing Details**: Teiro is priced per active user per month. An active user is anyone with a Teiro account who logs in during the billing period; there is no separate rate for coordinators, schedulers or carers, and no per-device fee for the mobile app. There is no minimum user count and no setup fee.

Free tier. The first 5 active users in any organisation are free, on every plan, indefinitely. No credit card is required to start, and there is no trial expiry: an organisation with 5 or fewer active users can run the full platform at no cost for as long as it wants. This is a pricing floor, not a limited-time trial or a stripped-down tier. Every capability, NDIS billing across agency-managed, plan-managed and self-managed funding, the digital medication administration record, incident and SIRS reporting, credential-gated carer assignment, scheduling, communications, and travel logging among them, is available on the free tier exactly as it is on paid plans. Nothing is feature-gated by plan.

Standard plan. Once an organisation has more than 5 active users, the Standard plan charges $9 AUD per active user per month for each user beyond the free allowance. A 10-user organisation, for example, pays for 5 seats: 5 times $9 is $45 AUD per month, not a charge for all 10 users. Standard runs the same full platform as the free tier; the only thing that changes with user count is the number of paid seats.

Professional plan. The Professional plan is $29 AUD per active user per month for each user beyond the first 5 free, on the same full platform as Standard and the free tier. What differs at Professional is service, not capability: faster support response and an onboarding call. There is no feature included in Professional that is withheld from Standard or from the free tier.

Worked examples. An organisation with 5 or fewer active users pays nothing, on either plan. An organisation with 12 active users on Standard pays for 7 seats beyond the free allowance: 7 times $9 is $63 AUD per month. The same 12-user organisation on Professional pays 7 times $29, which is $203 AUD per month, for the identical platform plus faster support and an onboarding call. A 50-user organisation on Standard pays for 45 seats: 45 times $9 is $405 AUD per month.

Annual billing and Enterprise. Annual billing is available as a fixed-term plan. Organisations with larger or more complex requirements can also negotiate an Enterprise arrangement individually, rather than through the two published per-seat plans; contact Teiro directly to discuss deployment scale or contract terms outside Standard and Professional.

Contract terms. On monthly billing there is no lock-in: an organisation can cancel at the end of any billing month with 30 days' notice. Annual plans commit to a fixed term for the length of that term. Enterprise contracts are negotiated individually and their terms vary by agreement.

Mobile app. The Teiro iOS and Android app is included on every plan, including the free tier, at no extra cost and with no per-device fee. Support workers and carers download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Invoicing. Invoices include the organisation's ABN, line-item descriptions and a full GST breakdown, formatted for straightforward reconciliation regardless of the organisation's funding or billing setup.

Data residency. All Teiro data is stored in AWS's Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region. Australian data residency is the default for every customer, on every plan, not a paid add-on.

Migration. Teiro offers a migration service for organisations moving from another rostering or care-management system, or from spreadsheets. What that involves depends on the organisation's existing setup and is scoped during a demo rather than priced as a flat fee upfront.
