We've stayed in touch since, and I've always been very impressed by the way he's managed to scale his art business – so I was very keen to try Kandinsky when he suggested it could help me scale mine. The first thing that struck me is how attuned Kandinsky is to the real need of art collectors and dealers. There is no other platform on the market like this, either in its comprehension or its deep understanding of all the admin involved in selling an artwork. Kandinsky covers everything, end-to-end, so I can manage both my collection and my business in one place. It has already saved me hours (and saved my sanity in the process). Tagging artworks and filling in SEO data to sell on my Squarespace was previously my most-hated job. Kandinsky does this automatically, colour and keyword tagging in seconds. It has also saved me actual physical effort. I have a stack of posters in my spare room and it is always an ordeal – that includes moving the furniture\! - to find the right one when it comes time to ship. Now I have much better visibility over my inventory: I can store the location and sub-location of each poster, and know where everything is, so getting sold artwork out the door is much simpler. And I can even track the artworks I send in Kandinsky, by adding the tracking number. And see when it is delivered. The biggest win is that it will (as promised) help me grow my business. I now have the numbers on how everything is performing at the artwork and business level, which will be a much better foundation for scale than what I was using before (vibes). With KANDINSKY, I can do all of this in one place. The platform is a pleasure to use. The UX is intuitive and clear, and my website was simple and fast to set up. I connected my domain and went live with a brand-new website with all my art in a few hours. There are plenty of little details that show it has been built by someone who actually understands how artists work. For example, I can set myself as the default artist and choose a default medium, so they’re already filled in every time I add a new artwork. It’s a small thing, but it saves me a lot of repetitive writing. Another feature I use a lot is password-protected links. I can share one or multiple artworks with a client and even add a private discount for them, without that discount being shown on my main website. \[sensitive content hidden\] has also been really open to my feedback, and there are already some features being built based on my suggestions.
