I was expecting a TMS that would be restrictive because of enrolling in the free tier. I was completely surprised how detailed and well thought out this TMS was. I am able to start with the beginning quote stage and then continue all the way to invoicing and driver settlements, keeping track of fleet maintenance, check calls, even a template to write checks\! But what really surprised me was the technical support. For whatever reason I had come across an error page and I didn’t think anything of it, that I would just hit back and try again. Next thing I know I have a message in my inbox from the developer letting me know that they saw I had hit a snag and that they were on it. Whatever had threw an error was fixed and I was back to entering my data. I had a login issue one time, and I sent an email off to the developer that was replied to within minutes and I was logged in very shortly after that. As my company has grown the developer actually took the time to have a phone call meeting with me to see how the platform could be improved to meet the needs of my fleet. If I had an issue or had questions, a link was sent to me and I was able to remote desktop with developer and was shown how to do whatever I needed help with. This kind of support and devotion to a platform that is not only affordable or free is absolutely unheard of. I can’t even get this type of support from one of the large name Ven without jumping through 1 million hoops before I even get my issue a question heard. The best part about the platform is that the way it’s been written is that there is so many customizations there are so many different integrations that are added all the time. Numerous times the developer has emailed me and said hey what do you think about this? Hey what do you think about that? How do you like this? How do you like that even all the way down to the ads like he was literally changing the ad vendors to make sure that they were not as intrusive to me as a company owner, so that he could still get the ad revenue, but also be able to make sure that I was able to have usability of the platform I can’t see enough good things about this platform. Yes it may be a newer platform, but the seriously in my opinion is the next best thing in free TMS, and in my personal opinion, this literally blows Ascend TMS’s attempt at the free TMS out of the water. > > **Cons**: I can’t really say that I have anything that I like least I have had some issues a few times with different features throwing an error that required me to retype the information again, but that was all overshadowed by the Support that was received immediately so I can’t really say that I didn’t make anything because it continues to surprise me every time I login > > As you can see from my commentary in the first two questions I am absolutely 100% over the moon with this TMS platform. That being said, I haven’t been a little apprehensive to switch all of my operations over to Diesel TMS, however after a more than a year, long journey with the developer and the level of support that I received from him and continue to receive, I have finally made the choice to start moving all of our TMS operations to Diesel because I know that no matter what James is not going to let anything happen to my data that would affect me in any negative way as a carrier. All I can say is to give it a shot. Try it out with a few trucks. You don’t even have to use it in a full-time mode. The buillt-in cost-per-mile calculator allows carriers to exactly extract CPM data to make sure that every load and every lane is profitable.
