The Pro edition includes a 10-band equalizer (32Hz–16kHz) with adjustable gain per band, and a dynamic range compressor with configurable threshold, ratio, and master gain. A VU meter with true-peak detection helps operators monitor signal levels accurately and avoid clipping, tools typically found in dedicated hardware processors, built directly into the software.

Encoding and Server Compatibility
Audio can be encoded in MP3, AAC, AAC+, OGG, OPUS, or FLAC at bitrates up to 320kbps. SoundCast Streamer supports Icecast 2, SHOUTcast v1, and SHOUTcast v2 protocols, with correct handshake implementations for each. SSL/TLS encryption is available for the source connection, protecting stream credentials and audio data in transit.
