# VQueue

> vQueue is a cloud-based virtual queue platform for walk-in-heavy businesses: walk-in clinics and urgent care, car service and tire shops, government and municipal offices, and device repair shops.

HOW IT WORKS
Customers scan a QR code at your entrance and the queue opens in their mobile browser. No app store, no account, no phone number. Customers without a smartphone tap your kiosk tablet and get an on-screen ticket number. Everyone waits wherever they like and watches their position update in real time over a live WebSocket connection; opt-in web push notifications alert remote joiners when they are almost up, when they are called, and if they miss their turn (with a grace period to reclaim their spot).

Staff manage the queue from a one-button dashboard: call next, skip, finish. Desk labels ("Desk 3", "Window A") appear on the called customer's screen so they know exactly where to go. An optional TV display mode shows the currently called number in large type and announces it with text-to-speech in your language.

SECURITY \& PRIVACY
Privacy by design: no phone numbers, no emails, no PII collected from customers. Ticket data is automatically anonymized after 30 days, keeping GDPR compliance simple. Dynamic QR codes refresh every 25 seconds with single-use tokens, preventing queue-jumping via screenshots or remote joins. Kiosk devices are individually registered and authenticated, and staff access is role-based (Owner / Manager / Staff).
