Instead of discovering missing receipts, invoice sequence gaps, duplicates or incomplete information only after documents have reached the tax firm, Klarivo checks submitted documents directly at the client level. Clients upload their accounting documents in a structured workflow. Klarivo checks the submissions against defined rules and identifies issues such as missing required information, duplicate documents and sequence gaps in outgoing invoices. When problems are detected, the submission is blocked and the client is prompted to correct the issue before the documents can be handed over to the tax firm.

This moves quality control to the point where incomplete or incorrect information originates: the client. As a result, the tax firm receives structured, checked and chronologically prepared accounting documents before they enter the firm’s further processing workflow.

Klarivo does not focus on automating bookkeeping itself. Instead, it addresses the operational processes that happen before bookkeeping begins: client document collection, completeness checks and the recurring communication required to obtain correct documentation. Klarivo helps reduce manual follow-ups, checking and sorting, allowing accounting and bookkeeping teams to spend less time on repetitive administrative work.

An integrated audit log records relevant activities and provides transparency around which documents were uploaded, corrected or confirmed, as well as when required submissions were not completed. This creates a clear and traceable record of the interaction between the client and the tax firm.

Klarivo was developed together with an Austrian tax firm based on real-world accounting workflows and operational challenges.
