Every project gets the same six tools: a message board for announcements and discussion, to-do lists with assignments and due dates, docs \& files with a rich editor and file storage, a schedule with events, recurrence, and iCal feeds, Boards, a kanban board for work that moves through stages, and group chat with direct messages. Across the workspace you get client access (give clients scoped visibility into exactly what you choose, with formal approvals), automatic check-ins that ask your team recurring questions, progress charts for project health, project templates, @-mentions, notifications, and a documented REST API with a CLI and a remote MCP connector, so external AI agents such as ChatGPT and Claude Code can work in your projects under your permissions. Thicket ships no built-in AI.

The pricing is the point: every plan is one flat price for your whole organization, never per seat. Starter is $25/month (or $240/year) for up to 3 active projects, 20 people with clients included, and 10 GB. Pro is $49/month (or $468/year) for unlimited projects and people and 50 GB. Every tool is included on both. Per-seat tools punish you for growing: at 10 people, seat-priced competitors run $100 to $150/month and up. Thicket costs the same at any team size. There is a free plan (1 project, 20 people with clients included, 1 GB), and every new organization starts with a 30-day Pro trial, no card required.

Thicket is deliberately simple, in the Basecamp tradition. There are no Gantt charts, no workflow automations, no custom fields, and no dashboards to configure, on purpose. There is no data import either: switching is a manual rebuild, usually quicker than expected. If your team needs resource leveling and portfolio management, Thicket is the wrong tool. If you want your projects, discussions, files, and client sign-offs in one calm place your whole team actually uses, it is the right one.

Support is by email, with a public help center and FAQ. Thicket is US-hosted, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and two-factor authentication is available. Account owners can download organization data as JSON. Built by Vesperion Gate, a private Canadian company that runs its own business on Thicket every day.
