> Carz is car rental software built for one specific operator: the person renting cars by the week to Uber, rideshare and delivery drivers, who is currently holding the business together with a booking calendar, a bank app and a spreadsheet that is always one day out of date.

The whole rental lives on one screen. A driver is onboarded from a link they open on their phone — licence and ID uploaded, contract signed digitally, deposit taken by card. From that moment the weekly rent charges itself, and the part that usually eats an operator's week starts running on its own: when a payment fails, the renter gets an email with a payment link that settles the arrears in one go, and the operator gets told before it becomes a problem instead of finding out on a bank statement. Nothing is ever marked "paid" by hand — a payment is only paid when the provider confirms it, so the revenue you see is money that actually arrived.

 Handover and return are photographed against the same eight angles, so before-and-after sit side by side when a driver disputes a scratch. Work orders track what the car cost to keep on the road, and if the vehicle belongs to an investor, their share of the profit — including the losses — is calculated and reported without a separate ledger.

Carz was built in Australia and speaks the local rails natively: GST handled correctly on every invoice, Stripe and Square for cards, and PayTo direct debit, which costs about a third of card fees on a weekly rent charge. It also runs in the US and Latin America, with the tax rules and currency configured per deployment.

Pricing is USD $5 per vehicle per month, capped at USD $700 no matter how big the fleet gets, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card to start. A one-time lifetime licence is available instead. Every operator runs on their own dedicated deployment with its own database — no shared tenant, no other company's data next to yours.

Support comes from the people who wrote the software. There is no sales team and no ticket queue: your email reaches a founder and is answered within one business day. If you need something the platform does not do yet, custom development is quoted up front at USD $70 per hour and most requests ship in under two weeks.

What Carz is not: it is not a telematics or GPS tracking system, and it is not built for high-volume daily airport rentals. It is for weekly and monthly rentals, where the money is recurring and the relationship with the driver lasts months.
