easy to use and teach- very happy with the product

support is easy- great product, lots of updates to stay current. i personally met and deal with some of the senior staff and owner.

Cons

hardware issues is a pain- possible field agent to come set up? i understand that hardware is not your field of expertise, but your prices are high but i understand why. this can get outdated with software version.

We are a TRUE WINDOWS based system - this allows our users, to simply shop for a PC with a price that they are comfortable with, and we will work with you to install our products and services on that PC. For this sole reason alone, most pharmacies find it cost-effective to not pay anything extra for the maintenance, and simply upgrade their hardware as and when required.

This gives you the choice along with the savings.

Great company

My experience with PrimerX has been decent overall. The software offers a solid range of features that meet many of my needs, particularly in terms of functionality and integration with other tools. The user interface is intuitive, making it relatively easy to navigate. However, I've faced some challenges with customer support, as response times can be slow during peak hours. Additionally, some updates have introduced minor bugs that took time to resolve. Overall, while there are areas for improvement, PrimeRX has provided a satisfactory solution for my software needs.

Pros

Takes time to listen and troubleshoot issues.

Cons

Sometimes, it takes multiple phone calls to get a ticket resolved.

Wish I can start over somewhere else

Where can I start? It’s never ending story. Many negative experiences to mention over 4 years. Wish it was easier to switch the software. On more than one occasion agents have logged in without consent screen come up on the screen, and when there weren’t any problems or issues that needed to be worked on. You just go into the Phamracy and find out someone went
Through your computer because the screen name was still there. How is that ethical? Agents keep themselves connected. Settings and things that used to work fine will be all changed and messed up so it always always always takes so many efforts ans frustration to go in circles to get anything fixed in one go. Then the agent don’t feel like it’s important to let us know what all was changed. Ridiculous!

Pros

Nothing at all. More frustrating each time than satisfying

Cons

I did not have a choice but to choose MMS due to my partners

You get what you pay for. Don’t fall into the trap!

Bad. I wish I pay extra at the beginning for a better software.

Pros

It is cheaper upfront than most well established pharmacy software.

Cons

disorganized for the most part. Customer service always not knowledgeable and will try to brush you off. When I am typing this, their text messaging system has been down for over a month with no ETA. Our customers start complaining and we don’t know what to do. Not to mention that they are based in east coast and cs support hours is very not friendly to west coast pharmacy.

Functional Pharmacy Software

It's not my favorite program but it's also not my least.

Pros

The ability to copy and paste things. I also like the text feature.

Cons

It freezes up a lot. This may be due to the high demand in places on the CPU.

Overall they are responsive but lack understanding of some aspects of Pharmacy practice.

Retail function is great. The compounding functions are worthless.

Don't go here!

I have worked in retail pharmacy for over 35 years and I can honestly say PrimeRx is the worst software I have encountered.

Pros

I can't think of anything positive to say about PrimeRx.

Cons

The IT help is just awful. Very few of the technicians you will speak with will be easy to understand.

Great system!

Overall, great experience. Easy to use and easy to understand.

Pros

Best pharmacy software out there. Has some minor kinks, especially during updates but aside from that, if we run into issues, they are usually resolved relatively quickly.

Cons

Support sometimes doesn't understand problems when work stations get flipped flopped. Sometimes when unfiling prescriptions, you have to hit entire a thousand times. When process erxs, the software will close out randomly. Software is a little unstable and when they release updates, they don't do tests to see if they're compatible with other softwares like RMS POS

Stay away from this software, very very poor customer service.

I would walk away with this company any given moments if I am not stuck initially since there is lots of data transfer if I want to switch over to other company. I will never get their service for any of my new pharmacy

Ease of use. It is very user friendly software

Cons

The worst part of their software is whenever they update the version it has tons of issues and they have the worst customer service ever. If you call them 5 times for the same issue, all 5 person have a different answer and your issue never gets resolved quickly.

Great straightforward program with many customizable features to meet any user's approach. I prefer this program ahead of any other as it continues to innovate and expand their product service line.

There are no cons to the system, but mainly minor feature requested that have been submitted to be implemented at a later date.

It could be better

There's a love/hate relationship with it . Right now is heavily leaning toward hate because of the latest update where you have to toggle bill to unbill just to change a typo on a sig.

Pros

The workflow and dashboard is useful.
Sending script and e-request pretty easy.

Cons

The lag that it experience when loading e-rx pending script.
The inability to edit ex direction /sig when the medication is billed ( thanks to the latest update.)

Sir,
We did look into the reason, as to why the SIG field was locked.
The reason for this was, is if the Rx was transmitted and verified by the RPh - if at a later point some tech wanted to change the SIG from Take in the morning to take at night - or if they change the way the RPh wrote instructions on how to take the medication - we wanted to ensure that this behavior was controlled.
I understand that to handle a typo, you have to basically unlock a BILLED Rx - and that's a process that you have to go through, however in terms of audits and error's, we wanted to avoid un-intentional consequences when someone changes an Adjudicated and Verified Rx, that is why we decided to lock all the fields.
However I see that it causes you to lean heavily on hating the feature. Allow us to see if we can come up with a configuration so that users who want to implement tighter controls, they can configure it accordingly and uses who do not want to lock this field can keep it open.

It is very user friendly but has a lot of flaws if you need to maintain same patients monthly

it is low cost for the start up.

Pros

it is very user friendly. Easy to use. Free training. Great support only at the managerial level. Great interface but need to spend time to set it up and get trained. A lot of useful reports.

Cons

it doesn't link the rxs if you got refills on them. It shows as they are expired. it is very manual system.

The Refill Queues, Refill Compliance, Dashboards, Med Sync option are some of the features used by the pharmacies on a day to day basis to ensure that Patients are being attended to on a regular basis.
We train all our users, encourage them to join the Webinars, look at the online video portal for continuous training so that they can learn and implement the queues, and automated features in their pharmacies.

Worst Pharmacy Software

I am ready to move out, my 5K I spent on them is down the drain

Pros

So far, 6 months since we shifted, I am having so many issues with software, I do not like anything about it.

Cons

1. They will tell you that Automatic refills is an option, but the way software is designed, I do not think it is called automatic refill. You have to manually pull report of what was filled in last month and go through it and refill again.
2. EDI set up for ordering medication is horrible. Instead of leaving the order in wholesaler's cart, primeRx system will submit it, so if there are any errors, like quantity or alternate NDC's you will not be able to catch.
3. Their delivery module can and will charge the patients twice for same Rx when it is on charge account. I almost lost facility contract due to this inaccurate billing.
4.Upper management is THE WORST. ALL THEY ARE CONCERNED ABOUT IS TO GET CONTRACT SIGNED, AFTER THAT YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.
5.Support technicians can barely speak english and most of the times clue less.

it is easy to use and very friendly and easy to learn, very easy to enter information and do the billing and check the prescription

Cons

the system is slow sometimes and some other times it freeze, it can also be better if it can show the shap of the tablets or the capsule which help more being more accurate

Poor performance

The current situation is causing a great deal of frustration. The ESP team is helpful but has limited capabilities due to dependencies on the Dev Team. It is surprising that neither legal counsel nor a pharmacist is overseeing the regulations, requirements for controls, and tax laws for each state. The text messaging issue has persisted since August with no resolution yet. Additionally, there are promoted and charged functions that do not work as advertised.

Pros

The data entry function, the work queue.

Cons

Text and email not working consistently.
Missing multiple messages from 50% of customers.
Offering free shipping and receiving customer complaints.
PMP not functioning correctly.
Control Team unfamiliar with all PMP requirements for different states.
Recurring PMP errors without resolution.
Approximately one hour spent correcting each error.
Inability to calculate for Vet's and specific state requirements.
The system inability to handle compounds
Drug Interaction Checks are not accurate.
No idea when the GSDD is updated or if it is even up to date.
In the beginning Fill My Refill only worked for apple users but not Android.

PrimeRX 30+ years

It’s been great so far. I am really looking forward to primerx going web based instead of software base. I’ve worked in medical clinics and MDLand EMR for example so webs based. It’s so much more smoother and doesn’t crash . You don’t have to worry about back up and slow and glitchy performance

Pros

It’s easy to use . I’ve used best rx but I like the simplicity of primeRX

Cons

It crashes often. The customer support is inconsistent. Some tech support are knowledgeable others are not. I had to make a list of the best tech support representatives

Practice Manager RN

When the program is running great there really are no concerns. Every time an upgrade is down there is no explanation on what has changed.

Pros

The program itself has been fine as long as there are no issues.

Cons

Our inventory is always inaccurate. We have had to completely re due count a few times and still find inconsistences. It has been a little better since last update.

It is very difficult to understand(language barrier) any staff we talk to when there are concerns.

With MMS for 20 years

Overall I’m happy with Micromarchent, I’ve been using them for last 20 years

Easy to use but to be fair this is all I used since I opened my own pharmacy

Cons

Expensive. I heard that Best Rx charges 16c for each transmission whereas MMS is 18c

MMS is THE system of today & tomorrow

I have worked with MMS since 2017 & really like the constant updates to their system as the pharmacy profession evolves

Pros

It's pretty easy to navigate the system & having training videos "on demand" helps with new hires or brushing up on specific parts of the system not used as often.

Cons

The medication cost (patient pay $ amount) isn't retained with every refill or editing rx's.

PrimeRx is one of the BEST!!!

I've had a wonderful experience with PrimeRx. Even when the whole Change healthcare scenario happened, the agents stayed in touch and emails were sent regularly, giving us clarity on how to proceed.

Pros

It is extremely user friendly. Even if we get stuck on anything the chat option to connect to agents is extremely useful. I've used this feature several times especially when I've had a patient waiting to pick up their prescription.

Cons

I wish the new design was better than the classic theme.

Cons

Drug change on refill, royal pia. Drugs contracts change and many drugs are not available. Who's the Einstein that figured that out.
Inability to change co-pays per our price list (discounted electronic coupons)
Inability to charge on house accounts with out signing. we are in an assisted living facility. nurses need to pick up rxs and jams up our register line.
inabilty to charge credit cards from processing terminal for rxs that are mailed out
Need to add many drugs not in the system.
Email and texting function is too expensive.

The clinical drug database needs to be reassessed. Sometimes the drug interactions give completely inaccurate information. Excellent the support staff is knowledgeable and great at working out kinks.

Pros

The ease and flow of the program is superior to other programs. It’s a great system to have.

Cons

Prime rx is a great software company. I can’t say anything other than great reviews
