THRYV A Great CRM, All in One Software for Small Businesses
Overall I am very happy with the THRYV software, and I haven't found a comparable offering for the price.
Pros
THRYV is easy to use, easy to implement, and provides features that other software in this category does not, for instance, estimates, invoicing, and some marketing.
Cons
I can't pull reports that include all my customers due to line restrictions. I would also like to see a "last date of purchase" field (for marketing purposes).

Thryv Review
Poor at best. I strongly discourage anyone I talk to about their product from taking the enormously expensive leap. Set my company back years.
Pros
Thryv has a great sales team! Honestly the buck stops there unfortunately. My sales guy was wonderful and responsive, but the product and product support team were just flat out not good. Signing up was a huge mistake.
Cons
Thryv is basically just a big bait and switch operation. I was promised the world and ensured satisfaction, but the product just failed on pretty much all levels. The CRM is inferior to competitor's products. The marketing piece is lacking also. The biggest upset was the web presence piece. This was supposed to come with SEO and all kinds of social media management. None of which was as promised it's taken me over a year and considerable amounts of money to get my page ranking back up to where I was before they took over.

There are better CRM's out there. This one will leave you stranded.
My experience with Thryv started off great; I was super excited to find a CRM that really seemed to cater towards small business. Things took their turn for the worse when my bookkeeper notified me in early June that there were some major issues with my books due to how Thryv was addressing their 2.9% service fee, and rolling it into the Quickbooks HST Tax line. The gentleman that onboarded me, was my lifeline to Thryv for the majority of my Thryv experience, and upon notifying him of my Book-keeper’s findings, was told to tell me that, “it must be the client’s fault,” and that they would not be paying for any of the bill to correct the problem. I was then told that the problem “had been fixed, and that I could go ahead and re-connect Quickbooks back to the CRM.” Despite my bookkeeper locking the books entirely so that no damage could be done, Thryv circumvented the lock and overwrote all the work that the bookkeeper had just corrected.
Thryv finally admitted that it was their fault, and opted to give me 1/3rd of what I had paid to fix the issue they created.
It is now the end of October, and with no choice but to accept their offer as "we are at an impasse" as Thryv has called it, their services have been terminated.
Communication was poor once my lifeline was let go from the company. I was stuck paying for unusable software while trying to sort out the "impasse" and over all, this is just a poor company to deal with. The only reason they are known is because they are owned by Dex media.
Pros
It initially seemed really well organized and easy to onboard with.
Cons
Customer support and their accountability (lack thereof).
Lots of issues between quickbooks and Thyv syncing.
Very little accountability on the side of upper management.

Great Social Media Platform
Our experience has been great thanks to the hard work of [sensitive content hidden]. He went beyond his scope and when he was not sure of the path, he would take the time to stay with us as a rep directed and showed us how to correct our issue. My partners and I appreciate that we could always contact [sensitive content hidden] when we were having issues with the website, social media, Google business, etc. Anything we need, [sensitive content hidden] is always there for us.

It is the Social Media platform. We love that we can post one message and it goes to all of our platforms.
Cons
Calendar. Never have been able to maximize the calendars potential.

Great comprehensive software package for a small business
Very helpful, more useful than I expected when I chose it

Love the calendar, CRM, online appts and reminders, and ability to create/edit/send & re-send invoices (& take payment online)
Cons
Searching the CRM -- when you type a first and last name it shows ALL entries that match either the first or last name, and then I have to scroll through to find what I'm looking for. Just show me the perfect match! Or at least make it the first thing I see.

An easer scheduling manager
I have realized great benefit by using Thryv. The online scheduling for the client and myself is a vast improvement on what I had in the past. I would definitely recommend this software for others who are looking for an appointment management system.
Pros
At first I was skeptical that Thryv could be the one scheduling management that would help me keep track of my appointments. When I really got down to using it, I was upset with myself that I had not started using this earlier. I now find it to be an essential part of my business. I am an older guy and I have had trouble comprehending other past appointment management systems. With Thryv, the ease of use for the client to schedule appointments and myself for approving and manually scheduling has been wonderful. I can't say enough good things about Thryv.
Cons
A feature I feel that is missing is the ability for the client to pay me on the spot.

Thryv REALLY Cares
From start until now, I have felt cared for. There is confusion and again, the processes are hard for me...but I know they care.

I don't think they are set up to work well with Neurodivergent folks, but that's systemic. I don't learn the way others do and the processes are OVERWHELMING, though they all seem awesome.

Pros
Often, systems that try to be everything tend to have weak spots, or fail to fulfill promises. Not Thryv. The system is so robust and comprehensive, I still can't believe how amazing it is, and how few people I know who use it. I do all of my client, scheduling, billing, marketing, social media and web site management through Thryv. I would have taken me months or longer for me to set up what Thryv offers essentially out of the box, and it simplifies all those business facets by both consolidating them in to their platform and making them either easy to use or automated.
Cons
There is a learning curve to it, but any robust system will have one. However, Thryv customer support is the best I have ever experienced anywhere. Yes, ever. They call me to ask if I have any needs, and set up personal appointments by Zoom to walk me through the system to learn and customize it. I don't know of any other company doing that. Plus, there is 24/7 live chat and phone support.

MY go to platform for business manageent
Overall I am extremely happy with the Thryv software platform. It is, along with Outlook, the first application I go to in the morning. I walk my dog, make my coffee, turn on my computer, and then open Outlook and Thryv to start each day.
Pros
The simplicity of the Thryve software makes this a no-brainer. The features and functionality have allowed me to eliminate many other tools. The integrations keep everything humming along without "broken" and complicated connections between varying tools from multiple vendors.
Cons
The email marketing email automation is basic, I would improve the functionality and usability of the automated campaign features. Ideally, I'd like to see a visual representation (process flow) of an email campaign with logic steps (think Keap)

New On the Block
As a relatively new user of the program, I'm excited to grow with Thryv in promoting our Business on Social Media Platforms.
Pros
The product is an 'all rounder' - great for a new business set up. As an established business, utlising the monthly advertising icon for our social media platforms has been an added advantage to our business. The implementation was provided step by step, comfortable to undertake this step on my own.
Cons
Integration with our business was smooth, the assistance of a Thryv Team Member made it very easy to follow in detail. Technology isn't my strongest point, however, I was guided through the process making it very enjoyable to 'learn' this new way of working on my business.

Communicate and resolve like was said would happen!!
All they had to do and still have opportunity to do is offer our funds back. they admittedly didn't provide proper services to us, we asked for one option to be credit back on our credit card while we figure out best options to move forward. Then the 2 representatives we were working with decided it was best to stop communicating back with us. If I/we did that as a small business operator to our customers I would expect to go out of business in a short time!!

They are pros at taking money and not making sure a customer is properly taken care of with monthly followups to ensure the services/products are being used properly or at all!!
Cons
Broken promises while we were trying to get a resolution to the issue at hand. Taking monthly funds and not producing and communicating with your customer should never take place. And if it does - do what is right and credit back the customer to show good faith that you are not what it seems you are.

A Lot in a Small Package
Customer service was really responsive through email and phone. It was easy to use and set up. It had a lot to offer.
Pros
Thryv really packed a punch. It's a CRM, where you can collect payments, message clients, create coupons, and post to social media. Both the online platform and the mobile app were really easy to use.
Cons
I WISH it had newsletter capability AND task creation. I LOVE Hubspot's and Salesforce's task lists. If Thryv had that and the ability to make a newsletter, you'd really need nothing else.

All Glitter and No Substance
We did not renew our contract with Thryv. Instead, we went with another company that specializes website design and marketing for businesses like mine. I checked them out on Yelp, Capterra and a couple other review sites. (I didn't do this when I signed up with Thryv and I should have.) I'm very satisfied with this new company so far. My involvement has been only to review and comment on their work. My recommendation to anyone looking for website and marketing assistance is to go with a company that specializes in working with your type of business and check out as many review sites as you can before making your decision.
Pros
Thryv is tied into the "Original" Yellow Pages. I liked the person who sold me the program as a package with my Yellow Pages advertising. All she knew about the program was what Thryv told her and if you've ever dealt with any high tech sales people, you know that their answer to any question about what the program can do is "yes", "sure", "you bet", "no problem", etc. Then when you deal with tech support that tell you that they have no idea what the salesperson was talking about. I believe that my YP sales person was simply telling me what the Thryv marketing people told her.
Cons
1. Its a "one size fits all program". If you want something that is specifically for your type of business, you need to jerryrig the program yourself and to do that, you need an IT person. 2. I have a small business and we're busy. We do not have an IT department. We don't have a marketing department either. In order for the Thryv program to work, you need both unless you or one of your staff people wants to spend most of your day playing with the Thryv dashboard. 3. Initially, support was pretty bad, but to their credit, it has improved during the last year. 4. The website design is base on templates and lack any creativity whatsoever. It took them 6 months to correct all the spelling errors. Its up to you to make any changes to the website and they tell you its easy to do. It's not. See number 2 above. 5. Finally, during the last year, the Thryv program did not produce any noticeable increase in our business. Almost all of the calls and e-mails we got through our website were from other website developers and marketing groups telling us that they saw our website and they could do a better job.

Ease of Use
It is nice that using Thryv has made posting on social media much more streamlined and is more time saving. The fact that it can be set up for them to post for you, eases your mind of knowing there is always something being posted. It is also very nice to have the ability to text leads from Thryv as our agency does not have the capability to text and most people like this method of communication. I do feel like there is much more potential for use, but we would like to have more streamlined training.

2+ years user, new small business owner that is not computer savvy
Confusing. My Google info, is not accurate. Says I am based in a different city. Has photos of my personal home when searched. And I keep getting calls that my business is called VIP mobile salon. I thought Thryv would handle my online presence?

Auto pilot features help so I can continue my full-time job while my business is in its infancy stage.
Cons
The website designer seemed to lack experience. I think I would have done a better job. He did not impress me. After discussion with management, I explained the quality was NOT worth $350 a month, and they agreed. I actually still don't completely know what I am paying for. I hired someone to work with Thryv for me. Software, is quite confusing for me. So I ask the web maintenance team to fix things for me. After 2nd correction, I hope they get the address on website correct. There are actually plenty of unusual mistakes. For example, bullets are not the same nor aligned.

Business owners..... BEWARE of this company. They will take your money and leave you flat!
Horrible. Worse decision I ever made. I was sold a bill of goods. They never helped me solve anything in my business because no one was ever around to help. I certainly didn't realize any value they might have because I could never get a phone call back. Finally I gave up on them.

Nothing! From the start I could never get any guidance or help to even learn what they could do for my business. In fact, I never even received an email from them discussing their program or offering online webinars.

Great idea, but poor follow through.
Not good enough service for the money spent. We were spending 5 figures and not getting attention needed.
Pros
I liked that they managed our Google Ads, calls, website, listings, and socials in one place.
Cons
I did not like the responsiveness from staff. It was difficult to get them to attend to our account. We did not get quality leads. We were miscategorized, leading to not only fewer calls, but calls for another industry taking vital time away from business. We were spending 5 figures and not getting attention needed.

I have made a lot of mistakes in business. THRYV IS NOT ONE OF THEM. They designed a beautiful website and created a professional image both for me, my clients, and my competition. I set the bar when it comes form, fit and function of business operations. The customization you can develop and the ease to adapt to the ever changing business world is crucial and central to the small business owner. Thryv has taken everything I've thrown at and is critical part of what I do daily

My only complaint is the time it takes to get an ACH payment. From the posture of being constructively critical if you could adapt reels in posting to social media that would be phenomenal

Needs a little tweaking, but all in all not a bad product
Generally speaking, this product will do what a small business needs it to do. It keeps track of your accounts, allows you to send estimates and invoices, keeps track of what is outstanding (clunky), and helps with marketing campaigns. Even though some areas still need work, the software team is consistently making improvements and updates.
Pros
This product was very easy to learn and implement. The customer service people are pleasant.
Cons
I am not happy with the search function in the Billing & Invoicing section. It would be really nice to be able to search by company name or child account name in this area. While this is a great CRM system, this is definitely not an accounting software. Some areas refer to open invoices as payments which is not just inaccurate, but the opposite of what they are. I find the reporting to be clunky and cumbersome as well.

For someone who doesn't like to leave negative reviews... IF I could leave no stars, I would. We started a website with them and 7 months later it was still not running. Customer service was terrible and critical errors about our business including the wrong phone number, the WRONG type of medical practice was listed despite us reaching out asking for it to be changed and every single meeting we had to set up the website, the rep was an hour late!!! After us being very understanding and just asked to please just be done with them.... they continue to bill us AND now are threatening collections for a service WE DIDN'T EVEN receive. I am disappointed that anyone would do business this way.

Blown away by the functionality and ease of use with Thryv
I would and have recommended this software to many other colleagues already. I literally use it everyday to guide how my day will go, communicate with my clients, and continue to market my business on social media. Their team is also top notch and are quick to help if any issues arise.
Pros
The booking system is not only easy to use on my end but I have had several clients tell me how simple it is to book, reschedule and cancel appointments at the click of a button. The appt reminders are great. And the fact that I can pot on my social media accounts right form Thryv is pretty efficient as well.
Cons
The only hiccup I had with integration when I first started using Thryv was getting a way to text the clients from my Thryv account. Within a few days, a tech specialist had it up and running and I haven’t had any issues since.

Cons
The mobile app doesn't go back to home that easy, you have to either close app or hit back a bunch of times. It needs a home button on every page to get you back to main page.

I love Thryv
Thryv has made our social media marketing much easier. I wish we would have come aboard sooner.
Pros
It was very easy to set up and integrate with our business. The customer service is outstanding. Every person I dealt with at Thryv was fantastic.
Cons
The only improvement I would ask for is a free e-mail scrubber. This is supposed to be coming in the near future.

Cancellation is impossible
Not worth the money.
Customer service is great when buying but unresponsive when canceling

Unable to cancel after several attempts. Still being charged 5 months after cancellation letter was received.

Expensive, glitchy and no help
- The cost is astronomical - they don’t mention that you don’t get all of the “extras” like Thryvpay when you signup. - had to pay per team member plus a monthly fee - there was no free trial - there was an onboarding fee for $400 (I never got to be fully onboarded and they refused to refund it)Customer Service - their onboarding specialists are only available during business hours EST - their onboarding specialists didn’t know how to use the program. They only showed me things I could’ve figured out on my own and when there was an issue, they said they’d “look in it and get back to me” which they never did. - Upon cancelling I was told that that it was a six month term and they would not refund me for the $400 and month I wasted trying to get the software to work and the most they could do was not charge my card again.Don’t bother looking at Thryv as an option. It’s expensive and useless!

This was supposed to be a solution to having 10 different apps instead it malfunctioned and glitched.

Pros
Overseeing marketing can be an arduous task, but Thryv really works to streamline the continual multi-channel blasts that are needed in the current internet age. Inbound, Outbound, anywhere, anytime, you can access your full customer base from laptop or smartphone.
Cons
Learning any new software and transferring a client list can seem like a scary subject and may take more time than anything else, but Thryv offers resources from videos and articles or even step-by-step phone walkthroughs

Pros
the appointment confirmations and automated campaigns are what I find most beneficial.
Cons
Can't believe that you cancelled the "work as" function. We are in two time zones and trying to schedule an appointment in the other time zone is painful. Only admins can login as other staff members so an ordinary function that anyone could do now falls on my plate. No sooner than I set the appointment, log out and back in as myself here comes another call and I get to do it all over again. After I have done this several times the system makes me go through the authentication process with a six digit code.
