> Carbon Manufacturing Systems is an open-source ERP and MES solution built for manufacturers of all sizes — from small prototype shops to multi-national, multi-location operations. It serves defense, aerospace, automotive, electric vehicle, medical device, and general vertically integrated manufacturing businesses.

The software runs on a single unified data model covering quoting, sales orders, purchasing, planning, production, quality inspection, and shipping. A rules-driven product configurator auto-generates Bills of Materials and Bills of Process from configurable parameters. Real-time shop floor tracking captures parts, hours, barcodes, and deviations. Quality management tools include first article inspection, non-conformance, CAPA, and gauge calibration, all linked to full serial number genealogy. Multi-entity and multi-site support handles intercompany transactions, per-entity currency, and consolidated books.

Carbon Manufacturing Systems can be deployed cloud-based via a managed hosted environment or on-premises using Docker or AWS. An open REST API and native Onshape integration allow connection to external systems without additional connectors. Source code is available on GitHub.

Support is provided through available documentation, an open API for custom workflow automation, and community resources tied to the open-source project.
