> Folklore helps genetic laboratories and hospital genomics teams review variants from panels, exomes and whole genomes. It is designed for clinical geneticists, variant scientists and bioinformaticians who need to examine the evidence behind a finding before deciding what to report.

The workspace combines variant annotation, ACMG/AMP classification evidence, phenotype and inheritance context, literature and prioritisation. Specialists can review findings at case and variant level, inspect the supporting sources and prepare structured reports.

For a team reviewing a candidate variant, this means keeping the classification evidence and the patient's phenotype and inheritance context together during the review. Genome browser links provide additional genomic context. Folklore also accepts common variant representations, including genomic coordinates, HGVS, SPDI and rsID.

The software runs in a web browser and supports individual accounts and multiuser organizations. Documentation and email support are available to help users work with the platform.
