# Kurrent

Most call tracking is billed per minute at a rate that bundles the carrier's cost with the platform's margin, which means the bill grows in step with your call volume. Kurrent charges a flat monthly software fee instead, priced against the call-tracking invoice you pay today, and leaves carriage on your own Telnyx or Twilio account at the carrier's published rate.

Setup starts with the carrier. Connect the account once and Kurrent syncs your numbers, surfaces the edge IPs to allow, and manages SIP gateways. Each SIP user and DID becomes a source with its own routing, rate limits and inbound gates, and an answered call can be bridged to a phone, an AI voice agent or your own trunk.

For outbound, compliance is configured before any dialling happens: calling windows in the contact's local time, holiday presets and per-day attempt caps, published as an immutable version so the rules in force on any given date are auditable. Campaigns bind leads to a source and a cadence and are versioned the same way. Suppression can be applied globally, per customer or per campaign, and a lookup explains why a specific number is not being called.

Everything is observable: a dispatch queue, caller ID usage, the next calling window, a full call log, and signed webhooks carrying every call event to your own systems. One paste connects a source to KontrolX so completed calls become leads that can be screened, enriched and routed.
