> Ratatype is an online platform designed to help users learn and improve their typing skills.

Ratatype has been available for 13 years and is used by around 6 million people annually across more than 30 countries. The platform is available in 10 languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Portuguese, Dutch, Ukrainian, and German.

Ratatype is designed for school students, teachers, university students, and adults who want to improve their typing skills for education, work, or personal development.

Main Ratatype products

Typing tutor

Ratatype offers typing courses in 10 languages, with several course options for different skill levels. Each course typically contains 15–22 lessons, with 10–20 exercises in each lesson.

The exercises teach users correct hand positioning, help them develop a consistent typing rhythm, and train them to type without looking at the keyboard.

After completing a course, users receive a course completion certificate that can be added to their LinkedIn profile.

Typing speed test

Users can take the typing speed test without creating an account and can repeat it as many times as they like in any of the 10 supported languages.

Registered users can also purchase a certificate confirming their typing speed. The certificate can be attached to a CV, added to LinkedIn, or shared with an employer.

Typing games

Ratatype also offers two typing games, Ratashooter and Ratarace. The games allow users to practise their typing speed in an interactive format. Registration is currently not required to play.
