Pros
It took less than thirty minutes to incorporate the software with my business. The software has many resourceful features for my business. Invoicing is a breeze and customers can pay directly from the link sent to their email.

They keep spamming me
So frustrated with this company. They keep calling even after they assure me that I will no longer be on their call list, even last time I demanded that they remove me from their database and they didn't.

I think it worked when I used it, but it wasn't for me. Now they won't stop calling me no matter what I do

Not The Best For The Price
Had useful features and scheduling but ultimately fell short of expectations

It’s intuitive design and layout are easy on the eyes and pretty self explanatory

Spam with phone calls from a salesman every day until he subscribe to their service

Was ok but now is a mess.
went from good to Ok to just been a mess. they get your deposit and keep the money for few daysto play with your money and 2 weeks later you get your payment when customer pay them same day.customer service the worse in the country,Mobile devices are not good with this application because you don't get full menu.super complicated to invoice when you try to collect a deposit and them copy that estimate to a job the deposit won't transfer and that create a mess, and yes it never accurate with QuickBooks. always gives errors. price gone way up and now is not worthy. all customer service now is a bot.

Beware
Unpleasantly surprised by House Call Pro. After following their procedures and canceling my service, I was shocked to find an unexpected charge of $406 on my account two months later. It's crucial for businesses to maintain transparency and uphold their end of the bargain. Unfortunately, House Call Pro fell short in this regard. There are plenty of other companies to choose from, and I’d advise prospective customers to think twice before opting for House Call Pro. Mismanagement of financial matters is a red flag. Beware.

great option for an all in one product
an awesome product that fits most needs with little downsides.

scheduling jobs in a customizable way tailored to our specific needs and adding attachments that help know more about a job when its being completed from when it was sold.

it does not have inventory management. we have to use another app for this and there isnt anything that integrates in with housecall.

I initially really liked the product but as I started using the app and features I noticed that a lot of options that my business needed were just not available. I would suggest making different options available based on the type of business.

This app is geared toward businesses that are in a specific niche. Like Handyman services and the like but for my business it was not a good fit.

It is very good the online reservation function has been very convenient, since my clients can schedule appointments directly from my website and it is very easy to do so.

Housecall Pro organised everything easily. It scheduled multiple meetings and calls, perfectly generates invoices and best support in billing and pricing. Customer support solves every query it is an important factor. In it, someone is always available for help.

Housecall Pro has no major downfall in it. If go through it in deep so mobile bugs collect my interest in it. but if ignore only that thing so it was the bucket of the facility which is easily understood by my staff members.

I used this in our company for our HVAC service and repair calls from customers and I liked the in-build tools and various options under one platform. Don't have to make multiple calls to receive, schedule, and dispatch for ONE service.
Pros
This is best suited to very small to medium to large companies that provide HVAC repairs/services to customers. It has all the tools you need to Schedule, assign, dispatch, and notify customers among others.
Cons
The accounting module takes some get used to and to setup the initial data in the software can be made easier.

Great software for the in-home service industry
It was critical in the insulation estimation / worker dispatch aspect of the business. We use it constantly from the initial customer contact all the way to a google rating request after payment has been collected.
Pros
Housecall Pro is very easy to use and set up. Most of the functionality can be done with a mobile phone. Very customizable and well designed.
Cons
Some more complicated functionality must be done on a regular computer, and the schedule can get convoluted and quite hard to read

Customer service was about the only thing good about household pro that I could find within the time frame I used it.
Cons
Where to start? This service was very much pushed on me by these sales rep for the company already even though I was looking at purchasing it and using it myself without it being sold to me after all of the harassing calls and emails spam calls before purchasing or trying a trial I was almost annoyed with it before even starting. My husband and I were looking to streamline his business because he has a lot of different aspects that need to be rolled into one and him and I alone we're not able to do it just ourselves especially when so many questions come in before they turn into customers and after his jobs are done the invoicing and payment issues that we had could have been easily solved with this program but it was just too complicated and pushy on the customers that we did have and even new customers we could have had even with this service we chose to go another route and do not use it anymore just too much and not very simple to somebody who is new to trying to streamline several different aspects of a construction contracting business into one smooth sailing system!:(

It has all the best features for a home service business in one and it also has access to the Housecall consumer booking app.

It has good features like Job Scheduling with a GPS tracking system, payment processing, automated receipts and invoice etc.

There is no chance to use HCP to create contacts that are legally binding.

Amazing experience. Helps us keep track of what needs to be done and where our service team members are. Invoicing in person or online along with notifications has allowed us to get paid in a timely fashion. Awesome product!

Housecall Pro is an amazing program that allows our service team members to be scheduled and on track. We can send notifications to employees, clients, rollouts, etc. Invoicing on the spot or online allows us to get paid on time. The calendar sync keeps our employees updated. Database with all notes, projects, contact information, etc. Perfect!
Cons
There is nothing that we don't like about Housecall Pro. Potentially being able to integrate into Insightly would be a nice touch, which I'm fairly certain that we can we just haven't integrated it yet.

I only experienced being mislead thinking I was applying for job opportunities and when I finished applying and giving my personal information I was informed they didn't have job opportunities in the area I lived in but I can be placed on a future wait-list .

I am obsessed!
We came running back to HCP after using another software for a year. Our breaking point with that software was the price book being outrageously difficult to utilize. With the new DOE changes for 2023, ALL hvac major equipment has been changed and we needed to do update that accordingly. The price book in HCP is smart, helpful, calculated, and still very easy to figure out and utilize.
Pros
We used HCP for years when we decided to move to another software. After a year on that other software, we came RUNNING back to HCP for many reasons. The biggest reasons? Ease of use, amazing features, customer service, and price points.
Cons
Auto pricing for Maintenance Plan Agreements. It is technically there but having it more in depth would be great. Example: Our Gold Level get $0 service call fee-10% off materials-$50 off new system. HCP provides that 10% off though so still an absolutely amazing feature!

Incredulous
So, we moved and I changed the business address a couple of months ago in my profile. Somehow during the change some profane words were written in the license box and then were saved. After that every invoice a customer received as a PDF has the profane words at the bottom of the invoice. HCP Said that they have no way of telling me when the exact date change was or a way to forward the emails sent to customers in the time frame so I can limit the amount of customers I need to confess this to. (some customers don't look at the PDF) This is something to think about here because HCP sends the email and we don't get Cc'ed or Bcc'ed. Therefore after a customer gets an invoice a permitted staff worker can change information later. It is incredulous that they can't look back at email history; I would think twice about using Twilio then. Although it is on my end that the profanity was created it was HCP that polished it into customers email. this makes them libel. Customers don't often open the PDFs when one does I will promptly give them HCP's number.
Pros
good for new company that wants to go paperless.
Cons
HCP the company is moving towards marketing. The pro clients are no longer the target clients. The pros are now the "Product" and the new target audience are warrantee companies. There is no way to quickly search for jobs and clients from the main page using key word. Things that make sense on a google platform are nixed in the HCP board room.And my main complaint: emails to clients are sent from HCP and the Pros are not even sent a copy of what they get. Therefore, there is no traceability compliance. When an invoice is created and sent the job is not locked up and can be edited after the client is billed out. The office will never see what the client gets sent and HCP can not dig it up for you. Emails are lost after 7 days I'm told.

Great app but incomplete
I really want to like the app as it is quite smooth genrally speaking, however a lot of basic features are missing and there has been a lot of growing pain issues like price breakdown being off for a while, or the first day using it their servers had issues and I was unable to complete an invoice etc.
Pros
I enjoy how smooth the app is to use genrally-for tier pricing this app is almost exclusively designed for that feature.-billing and pricing can be quite convenient-app has some professional features.
Cons
-the app promised a tap reader option and lower cc rates, that was false advertising outside of us-the app is very incomplete, for example there's no way to have estimates display a time limit like good for 30 days etc.-there is also no way to enter a job description on a job by job basis which is a bit frustrating, only way to do it is modify service descriptions everytime.-the picture message feature sounded cool when I signed up however I quickly learned it only works on imessage which is really poor design, service titan worked on anything.-it has been quiet difficult to express certain terms for certain situations because setup is a blanket thing so if you offered similar services that will work but if your offering multiple trades it will be clunky.

Good for small, mostly residential HVAC
This product has served us well but we are growing and I fear we will outgrow it sooner than we wanted to. I also feel that the customer service has fallen off dramatically since we started using HCP.
Pros
When onboarding a new employee this system is very easy to figure out both in the field and the office.
Cons
I like to see a clean schedule. It's tough to have someone run to give another tech a hand without throwing the look of the calendar off. They have changed the appearance too many times, it seems like they are always changing it but not focusing on the changes that would help HVAC the most.

good for very small business les than 5 employees
Better than using paper. Scheduling is best feature and better than other tools in the market (as it exists today). Contracting, invoicing, estimating, are only for a very small company. Editing is almost impossible.Changes are made with no advance knowledge. The data importing team (material list and customer list) are wonderful. Interface to quickbooks is not closed loop and is a mess.
Pros
HCP has a good scheduling function as it is easy to see a week and move resources around easily. It needs a rolling week versus a static Monday to Friday that is currently deployed. The current scheduling feature is HCP's best feature. Hopefully they will not change it and emulate other software firms that have absolutely poor scheduling functions
Cons
Impossible to use HCP to create contracts that are legally binding. Must use docuSign or another application. Invoicing cannot be customized. It is line items based and cannot be summarized. You cannot customize messaging, and invoices end up being most frustrating for customers on big multiday jobs. You cannot create and save your invoice letters. Integration with Quickbooks is a daily challenge, search function is truly a problem with the new release, there is no logic to how jobs and estimates are stored in hcp, hcp calls "jobs" invoices. Imagine getting an hcp "invoice" before the job has even started very confusing to customers and employees until you get used to it. this is for a tiny business or for a team who has no software experience.

Effective software for service providers
Our experience right from the start with Housecall Pro was great, from the walk through that we had with a member of the software team, and the ease of setup and integration within our existing business systems. We loved the dispatching and scheduling features.
Pros
Housecall Pro was a great help to our business. It helped systemize and digitize our service based business. It allowed us to dispatch our team members seamlessly, schedule our services and work them into our calendar easily. We were able to keep our customers organized and keep up on our billing and invoicing. The software was easy to learn and use and mobile friendly which meant our whole crew could use it on the go.
Cons
There were a few features that were missing for us as a landscaping business and therefore we had to switch softwares. The pricing was also a factor that caused us to switch.

Pros
It's relatively easy to use. I can schedule an estimate, then convert it to a job once approved, send the invoice and even take payments through the website/app
Cons
The online scheduling option seems like it could be a good feature, but our company doesn't use it much and the times we have used it, the emails just got lost or customers selected the wrong responses which led to confusion.
Scheduling a job that takes multiple days is also a bit of a nuisance. We switched from Jobber, and they were so easy to schedule a multiple day job.

Housecall Pro is the last software you'll need
Overall, it's very easy to use and offers more features than any competitors.
Pros
Our technicians are able to clearly see where they need to go and get information about the job before they even arrive. We are also able to convey things from dispatch that empower the technicians before they even get in the homeowner's driveway. The ease of invoicing and creating a price book has increased our profitability. We have found customers are paying much quicker when we send the invoices out immediately upon job completion.
Cons
There aren't many cons. I do wish there was a better integration for service agreements. Industry standard agreements are annual and offer a discount on services for the duration of the service year. If there was a way to have that all integrated and automated it would be nice.

Meh
It has always been MEH.....But after today I am heavily looking at getting far far FARRRR AWAY from this company!!!!! They have no care or concerns for their customers, or providing a functioning product.
Pros
Its okay, but definately not great. They spend alot of time upgrading features that have little use, meanwhile leaving important features with critical issues unresolved. (like automatic late fees, and changing customers name in invoice if you accidentally have the wrong one in field).
Cons
CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!! Absolutely the worst! If you like to hire companies that will treat you like a human being this isnt it. We had to close our bank account after being hacked, and open another one for our protection. (According to the bank). I realized I had no number for housecall pro and could not call them. I could not update my account, resulting in loss of customers since they would not be able to pay by credit card since we couldnt easily manage connecting our new account. The lady who called was unbelieveably rude! when I told her that I lost customers because we couldnt bill them because of their system issues, she said "well thats your perception"....ummmm,,, no, reality. And she was obviously 20 with a righteous attitude who feels that she is above all else. Just disgusting attitude. It made me realize that I could not believe I have paid and supported this company who fails to properly train employees in customer service.

Management Efficiency
It seems to be a great platform. I am actively learning and integrating other activities.
Pros
I love HouseCall Pro because it seems to be a one-stop-shop for management. It has the capability to add your Quickbooks which takes care of your taxes; Gusto for Payroll and many other for other required business activities. I am still learning all the additionally features.
Cons
I dislike the fact that once you create an Estimate and send to client it does not allow for the client to pay a deposit; despite the Estimate having the request for a deposit. Once Estimate is approved, the administrator has to manually convert the Estimate to Job (Copy to Job) then; the administrator must include a "new" deposit request on the Invoice since the request from the Estimate is not even automatically converted. This seems to be backward and retarded of the developers given the additionally impressive features of the software.
