# Policy Register

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.ie/software/773145/Policy-Register

> Policy Register is for compliance and ISMS managers who keep a folder of policies, a spreadsheet that lists them, and an auditor or regulator who asks for the document set first.

The problem: before any platform conversation, someone has to say which documents the standards actually expect, which of them exist, who owns each and when it was last reviewed. GRC platforms are built for teams with a licence budget and months to populate them. Policy Register answers the narrower question from the list you already have.

How it works:
1. Paste one document per line. A title alone works; Title | Owner | Last reviewed is better. Numbered lists and register exports work, and ids or version tags such as POL-007 v3.2 are read and set aside.
2. Tick the regimes you answer to: GDPR, NIS2, DORA, ISO 22301 and ISO/IEC 27001, 27701 and 42001. With none ticked, ISO/IEC 27001 applies.
3. Each title is matched to a published dictionary of policy types in ten families. A title that matches nothing is marked unrecognised, never guessed.
4. You get, per document, the clauses that require it with what they expect it to contain, the implied owner role, the review cadence and the due date. Then the list of documents the regimes expect and your list does not carry, each with the clause and a template.

What you take away: a register with each line marked current, overdue, undated, duplicate or unrecognised; a gap list; and on paid plans the owner and cadence sheet, a requiring-clause matrix, CSV exports and a one-page auditor summary.

What it does not do: it reads your titles, not the documents, and never rules on them or on you. Each requirement is our statement of its clause, read against the copy held and cited; where a text is not held in full, the page names it rather than stating it.

Data handling: classification runs in your browser and nothing is sent until you choose to save. Saving uses an email link, with no card until you pick a plan.

Pricing: the free plan lets you try it without an account, eight documents at a time. Paid plans: Solo, for one person, costs USD 29 monthly; Team, covering everyone in the organisation, costs USD 99 monthly. Solo opens the full clause, owner, cadence and template detail on every line; Team adds a change log for the audit file and covers every entity in the group.
