Employee Tool that Covers All Requirements
Pros
The interface is just great and easy to digest.
Functionalities are not hidden and one can easily discover them without additional sources.
Recruitment, calendars, tracking, all of these things are solved in Personio.
Cons
Some colleagues had their calendar days mixed up after an update.
However, there are not so many things to complain about, little tweaks are needed here and there.

Very user friendly and flexible HR Saas
We have been using Personio for almost 3 years, and it is the only HR data source (very reliable) and core tool for daily purposes. We have been able to develop and automate/scale many processes.
It has been developing in many ways although it exists better specific alternatives in certain aspects such as T&D, and payroll.
Finally, it has an excellent customer service, always supporting us solving queries and requests

The tool is very user friendly and easy to configure, it covers pre-payroll, onboarding, documents management, employees data, offboarding. In addition, it has an extensive marketplace to connect with different apps and softwares via API
Cons
Lack of expense management, full payroll engine, historical data not very visual, T&D tab need more development.

Development: always!
Pros
Personio is constantly working on their products and features. There is no stagnation here. I have already seen a lot of further development that has helped to make our HR work easier. We have already been able to simplify and partially automate various processes. In addition, the usability is really very intuitive, so it's really fun to work with Personio.
The customer support is incredibly fast and friendly.
The support from our Customer Success Manager is also very good, always helpful and competent.
Cons
Some parts of Personio are not linked, e.g. absences and reports, which in this case means that a report on the sickness rate only takes into account the absence in days and not in hours. The fact that the different systems do not communicate with each other sometimes results in information being incorrect or Personio not being usable for some cases.

A simple tool for a simple life
Personio is a simple tool with everything you need right at hand. The main screen has a summary of everything (dates, documents, and events), and it is possible to go inside each one of these screens and find more detailed information about them.

The only HR tool you need for small-mid market operations
We couldn't be happier with the service that Personio provides. With it, we've been able to have a smooth functioning HR system from day one. You can use it to manage everyhing from attendance to payroll and ATS. It's the only tool you need for up to a couple hundred employees
Pros
I love how simple the interface is for all the different modules. We started using it when we were much smaller, and it was a relief to be able to start using it confidently without having to spend hours upon hours trying to learn it.
Cons
I think one of the biggest things it's missing is more comprehensive documentation like best practices or ideas for how you can use it better. Without it, in the beinning, we kinda had to figure everyhting out on our own

Very simple but effective HR tool
We were very happy with how Personio was able to boost our HR work. I only used it myself when managing the HR tasks of my department, so I'm not familiar with some of the modules. But the ones I was able to use, I was very satisfied with the automated workflows, report tools, data syncing, and all the other stuff they offer.
Pros
The onboarding module was a treat to use for our marketing dept. It's easy to assign and monitor each step within the onboarding flow. The automated assignments and reports are also a great addition

The advanced field options for the course assignments are very limited. There really isn't much advanced logic other than basic if conditionals

Pros
One of the things I like most about Personio is the employee self-service portal. This allows my employees to access their own information, such as their timesheets, vacation requests, and benefits. It's a great way to give my employees more control over their own data.I also love the reporting features in Personio. These reports give me insights into my workforce, such as employee turnover rates, time off trends, and salary ranges. This information helps me to make better decisions about my HR policies and procedures.
Cons
The customization options could be re-engineered. I would like to be able to tailor Personio to my specific needs more than I can currently.

Nothing really, maybe when already logged in, the features are quite easy to use, but how can you use those features if the app sucks big time and you can't even do a SIMPLE LOG IN!??
Cons
Can't log in, the authentication part sucks! It keeps asking for token, I use google authenticator linked to my company account, or I use the email I get from Personia, NOTHING WORKED! I had luck logging in previously some months back, but not anymore! This has been a problem since I joined the company!

Missing features, unhelpful customer support, no room for error
very negative, started ok, but worsened over time- support is very bad - just "here is a link and read about it on our helpdesk page" - there is not time for that- had to push to even get in touch with my account manager- no notification on automatic ANNUAL renewal - this i find very unfair; if we are locked in for another full year and still need to renegotiation the conditions, would expect a call well in time so we can decide to cancel- issues with vacation day calculations

Personio is a great HRIS and gives me full satisfaction as a user. It allows me to see all the important hr related topics really quick and the experience is seamless.
Pros
- It's easy to find the information we are looking for, the UI is really nice. - It can be adapted to different countries' specifications (ex: specific holidays for certain countries).- You receive email notifications when your absence gets approved

- We should be able to login with the SSO from Google/Microsoft account, it takes quite some time to log in.- Notifications should be more personalized and extended (example: being able to set up notification when a payslip is available).

I believe that Personio really helps us to become a better company on the operational side of things. Also, they really listen to what you have to say. Personio is under constant development and since it is a SaaS product, new and useful features will pop up all the time as part of your SaaS plan.
Pros
I like the UI. Most of it is self-explanatory and specific topics can also be found by entering a search term, for instance "notification", into a Google type search window. Personio's implementation team has some really bright people who understand what your needs are. I think we had 6 video calls over a period of six weeks. They help companies with the implementation because a lot can go wrong: users getting to little or too many access rights, workflows not defined properly, data not imported correctly etc.
Cons
Sometimes there are global system outages. Also, synchronisation with the Outlook calendar is a bit bumpy.

all colleagues have an overview about their personal data and HR documents, they can see the absence of the team members (even with a exchange with our team calender) and the administration of holidays is quite easy.
Pros
It's really easy to use and implement the tool. And I really like the support material - you can find very good articles about each topic and question and if I cannot find the answer there - I get quick help from the support team

some features are only provided on the basic level - but telling it to the support can help, one of my issues is now solved and a new standard in the protfolio. but it would be great to have the possibility to set a date when I want to send a message to a applicant.

Just perfect
Pros
What I like most about the operating system is that it contains a variety of functions, and as a result, covers the entire Personnel Department. From holiday requests to recruitment, every function is included.
Since we have started using Personio, we have realised that we now spend more time on other HR tasks instead of a large chunk of our day being dedicated to administration tasks.
I particularly like that our employees are required to work together with our department, and are automatically informed if they have failed to provide a doctor’s note for sick leave for example. Previously, we needed to constantly chase-up employees for documents such as these. Additionally, we now have a system that all employees from our Accounting and HR Departments can access, and no longer need to rely on confusing MS Excel spreadsheets.
Cons
I would say that I like everything about Personio. What I sometimes wish for would be an instant messaging option that could be used to send messages directly to employees via Personio. Besides this, we are very satisfied with the operating system.

Great, user-friendly HR-Software for SMUs
We are a small start-up with no designated HR manager and needed a system that would allow management to manage all kind of absences (illness, holidays, business travels) and track attendance of student employees. We wanted a solution that would allow employees to manage most of the data themselves, only to be authorised or checked by management. Personio is perfect for this use. Employees can keep track of their digital personnel file, see who is in the office or absent thanks to a good all-company-absence-calender, see how much holidays they have left and plan their paid holidays (which can be authorised or declined in the system by management), upload sickness certificates and even track the worked hours. We are very happy with the performance of the system and are confident missing functionality will be developed by Personio within the next months (app etc.). I would definitely highly recommend the system.
Pros
The software is very intuitive, has a very attractive design and makes it fun to use it. The service ist outstanding - from the first contact with Personio all staff was super attentive, pro-active and solved all problems within hours. The implementation process was quick and easy (thank you representative!), great online tutorials are available.
Cons
I am missing a mobile app (in development). In some aspects the software is perfectly designed for a designated HR manager - message configuration options should be optimised for small start-ups with multi-functional staff - but nothing that could not be "solved" with a bit of trickyness ;).

Promising product with some challenges, recommended
They also have a decent amount of workflows that you can build to automate your processes. Easy to set language you prefer the tool to work in. You can handle proper review cycles, a product still in development but may have a fairly promising future.
Pros
They are constantly developing and holding the end user in mind fairly well. For the German Market they are very adequate and they can handle complex payrolling and the different bureaucratic administrative requirements in German labour and law.
Cons
They sometimes lack specific localisation such as Netherlands holiday allowance. You need to buy extra entities if you fully want to embrace international.

You can customise the reports you want to create easily and add different conditions.
Cons
Would require some improvement to make it scalable for multiple locations. The tool is having very customisable fields but sometimes when you operate in a lot of different countries with central functions like HR analytics you require some local regulations features (13th month of salary, different working time, fields for local allowances).
One big missing feature is the absence of some dynamic fields, having dynamic dropdown in the tool would really help a lot to avoid mistakes when someone is entering some data in the tool

I like that the usage is easy, quick to understand and that the talent management for recruiting pipelines has a nice overview.
In addition, the support reaches out to you asap if you need help and have questions in general - hence, I am never left with doubts.
Cons
Unfortunately KPI tracking (for recruiting) is not a strength and a lot of data has to be drawn manually or cannot be tracked at all. However, Personio is currently working on this issue which will be a major upgrade for the future.

Underrated But Very Advanced Cloud HR Solution
We've ad a great time so far with Personio for our HR work. We first set it up when the company was a lot smaller, and it's held together very well during our expansion. It has a very simplistic interface which is a big positive for us, the reporting features work well, and the ATS module is very detailed and has a lot of advanced features. 10/10 would recommend.

The interface is much more up to date than the other tools we evauated. This made it a lot easier for us to start using it fully in te beginning, and has made it easy to maintain since.
Other than that, we really enjoy the automated workflows for setting up alerts, emails, etc.
Cons
It was missing a couple integrations that we really wanted, and there's the odd bug here and there, but we don't really have anything too big to complain about

Personio has a very modern and minimalist design. This makes it feel super simple and fast to use. In addition, the system comes with a very large package of functions and has a wide range of extensions available. Furthermore, the company responds to customer feedback and is constantly developing the products further.

Sometimes you may reach the limits of the available functions and setting options. As a result, you have to find workarounds in some cases. In general, I would like to see more individual automation options to make it easier to map our processes in Personio.

It has become a regular part of my job. I clock in using Personio and it is very simple and straight forward. I can add multiple breaks in my daily hours log. All my information is stored at one place, and i got notification if any of my credential is expiring soon. The onboarding section and Vacation management modules are very handy.

Not perfect but for me the best HR and Recruiting Tool I've seen so far
The employee profiles are clearly structured, vacation/leaves are easy manageable, orgcharts, admin, accesses are easy manageable, the recruiting feature is great, you can save all employee documents according to categories. If I need help, the Support team is usually quite fast and very friendly and helpful.
Pros
Most features are very intuitive, the user interface is simple and clear, really helpful support team, really good functions. Not perfect but for me the best HR and Recruiting Tool I've seen so far for everything except payroll!
Cons
The new payroll feature is not really good (yet). E.g - no way to transfer bonus payments, hourly wages that differ from month to month. Compelling HR software which fits needs of startups
Pros
I'm working for a scale-up in Munich in the B2B SaaS field.
Most recently, I joint the firm and went through the HR onboarding process - Personio was curcial part of this and central source of truth for the whole onboarding process. Having said this, I really like the onboarding checklist. Moreover, time recording and absence leave request seems pretty straight forward for me. Thus, I really like Personio from a user perspective.
Cons
I find the team absence dashboard somewhat overloading.
Moreover, it would be beneficial to have a direct link to completed tasks (history).

A comprehensive HR software
Overall we are very pleased with Personio. Other than being a comprehensive piece of software their customer support is exceptional. They are incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. The webinars are a great feature as well providing a perfect way to gain deeper insights into the platform.
Pros
Its incredibly user friendly making it accessible even for those with limited IT skills. It offers remarkable flexibility and adaptability, particularly in the seamless integration of administration and recruiting tasks. Personio streamline nearly half of our workflow, allowing for excellent employee involvement across various processes. The role assignment feature is highly effective and well planned.
Cons
It would have been nice to be able to integrate it with a few other software. We dont have any complaints though. Personio certainly does its job really well.

Easiest to implement HR tool
We implemented Personio as Serdar Plastik's first core HR tool. Applicant & personnel management, payroll, employee forms and surveys, and approval flows were all shifted into the system in a short amount of time. It was very easy to set up on the IT side, but a bit harder to implement across the organization due to a lack of support documentation. But once we had it up and running:- It saved our HR team hundreds of hours from having to push papers around- Reduced human error - Provided us a more objective way to evaluate applicants- Increased our data integration abilities
Pros
It supports advanced automations which is fantastic because:1. The system largely eliminates human error and doesn't cause our HR staff a lot of issues.2. The data is sent over to our other tools very smoothly.
Cons
English support is a bit lacking. Also, there are recurring performance issues in the applicant management dashboard. We submitted a ticket but the issue wasn't solved for a couple months
