About Twice Commerce

Twice Commerce is an all-in-one commerce platform for selling products and equipment as a service. Twice supports circular business models, such as rentals, subscriptions, and second-hand sales. The inventory management system is optimized for the two-way movement of goods (handover and return). In addition to the powerful store management features, Twice provides companies with all the sales channels to sell online and offline. These include a ready-made online store, a check-in kiosk system, and POS stations for creating orders manually and in person. Every booking and order is connected to the inventory in real-time. Overbooking in Twice is practically impossible regardless of the channel where you made the sales. Twice Commerce is a PCI-DSS audited payment provider, meaning that you don't need a third-party payment gateway to accept payments in your online store. Important rental industry-specific payment features like security deposits are available in Twice. Furthermore, Twice offers a wide range of additional merchant services that further help businesses streamline their daily operations. Twice is very easy to use and fast to implement into ongoing processes. Smaller companies can get started in just a matter of hours. Twice's scalability for larger enterprises was proven when a department store chain onboarded 40 stores and over 1000 employees to Twice in only six weeks. Twice has a Free plan. For more advanced features, Twice has three pricing plans, starting from $29.00/month.

Rentle solves a problem for rental owners

Pros

I like that Rentle has multiple pickup locations enabled, and the interface is simple, easy to learn. It is smooth functioning on my Squarespace website and looks beautiful. Provides a no-code solution to take payments and deposits.

Cons

I wish there were more options to customize the calendar function of Rentle, and also, remove the Privacy Policy popup. Last nitpicky thing is I wish that renters can select the pickup location first, before they select the date that they pickup the car, and before the calendar part.

Great for multilingual rental business

Running a toy rental business in Tenerife (JoyGames.es), I needed a system that works with international tourists. Twice Commerce handles this perfectly with its multilingual features and seamless WordPress integration. Setting up was easy, and it works smoothly for our daily operations. While the platform could use better search features and more flexible customer communication options, it's still a solid choice for rental businesses. The category system helps organize our toys and baby equipment well, even without a search function. Good value for money, especially for tourist-focused rental businesses.

Setup of shop in free mode for business validation

Pros

I like that is easy to setup to validate out business plan. if our plan works, than we can earn money.That money we will put in the upgraded versions of Rentle

Intuitive Rental Application

So far it's been positive. The team has been responsive and I've even been speaking with the [sensitive content hidden] to provide some constructive input on improvements.

Pros

I tested three different applications and found rental solutions a bit challenging for e-commerce; however, I landed with Twice and the user experience is better and it's easier to manage from a backend perspective. The company is working to add some additional features which could potentially throw them over the top in terms of beating competition. Anxiously awaiting the updates.

Cons

There needs to be an improved checkout experience and ability to create orders for sales and not just rentals from the admin panel. And they need to make the site more user friendly for affiliate marketing.

We are very happy with Twice commerce and would definitely recommend to anybody looking to set up a rental website similar to ours. It is easy to use and quick to set up, with good advice offered when help is needed.

Pros

We liked the ease of the website. We looked around for the right provider and found Twice to be the best around for the price. It is easy to use, easy to set up and there is plenty of help on offer should you need it.

Cons

Occasionally the website can be hit and miss. It hasn’t been a problem for us yet, but we feel we may have lost out on a couple of rentals from the rental calendar having a bug

Simple, easy to use and powerful.

Online Reservation and Checkout system that keeps track of inventory to prevent overbookings.

Pros

It is easy to create and customize products. The WordPress plugin keeps customers on our site, and products display is ideal.

Cons

I would like to see more integrations with "Make"(integromat) and/or Zapier to better improve customer experience when reservations are rescheduled, cancelled, etc. for triggers to happen and work with other apps such as ActiveCampaing, GoogleSheets, etc.

Bike-Rental.cz's review on Twice Commerce

Pros

The simplicity is what we appreciated the most about Twice Commerce, really simple and good looking UI that doesn't look like from the early 2000's. We can really simply and even bit entertaining way manage our products, send invoices, and get our customers to simply rent our e-bikes. Also I must say that today we needed communication with the support and in matter of minutes we got a nice response back, no waiting, no need to stop our process of working.

Cons

There isn't much to dislike about Twice Commerce, basically everything that I covered in the things I like about Twice Commerce are the only important ones that me and our company needs.

Rentle - grows with you great

Our business foundation is built off of Rentle and we're thrilled to scale with rentle as they continue to increase the number of features offered.

Pros

We are early on in our business, and my favorite part about rentle.io is the ability to expand on the platform as needed. We were able to test it for free in a trial environment, and then expand to use more of their product features with their "block" upgrade system.

Cons

I don't love the way the pricing breakdowns for various rental lengths. I would like to see a more intuitive sliding scale where rental rates decrease by a % or flat rate for each additional day.

Overall good, good customer service, easy way to use.

The easy usage and consumer friendly navigation.

Cons

It is really difficult to set up the payment, until today I have not received my money from the transactions as there are still problems with setting up my payment account. It is definitely the most difficult set up I have come across on these type of websites.

Rental Service Made Easy

Pros

Rentle integrated perfectly with my rental business. Its easy to use and straight forward. The team is quick to respond to any issue raised.

Cons

Missing some feature I'd like to use. Page customization is limited. Ability to edit and customize emails sent to customers. When integrated on another website, there is too much white blank space that cannot be removed.

Pros

Easy to set up and everything is clearly explained. Lots of content on the website to help you build your store based on other people's experience.

Cons

I'd have liked the option to trial everything fully before going live. I've had to pay for the pro version to make sure all the features i want will work correctly before taking any money. It would be good if whilst your store was taking no money, you could use all the features without the pro payments.

Rentle: A User-Friendly Approach to Rental Management

I use Rentle, and I've discovered that it's a complete, user-friendly rental management system that has significantly increased the productivity of my rental business. Rentle's simplicity and adaptability are two features I appreciate the most. The software's user-friendly interface made it simple for me to get acquainted with and begin using it right away. In a matter of minutes, I was able to set up my inventory, make rental agreements, and schedule rentals. A lot of time has been saved for me by the software's extensive automation features, which include sending out rental agreements and tracking payments. It's also important to note Rentle's integration abilities. It is a one-stop shop for rental management thanks to its simplicity of integration with other platforms, including those for payment processing and shipping services. I can now manage every aspect of my rental business from a single location, greatly simplifying my operations. Even though the software has a lot of features, there are still some things that could be done better. More sophisticated reporting and analytics capabilities, more software customization options, and better customer service are all things I would like to see. However, the overall usefulness of the software is not diminished by these flaws. In general, I've had a good experience with Rentle. The expense is well spent because it's a fantastic tool for controlling the rental process. I heartily endorse it to anyone.

Pros

I use Rentle, and I've discovered it to be a fantastic tool for running my rental business. I have greatly increased my efficiency and saved a ton of time thanks to the software's flexibility, ease of use, and extensive automation features. I didn't need much training to navigate the software and begin using it. Within minutes, I had my inventory organized, rental agreements made, and rentals scheduled. I was able to modify the software to meet my unique requirements by making various rental agreement templates, establishing various rental rates, and even setting up multiple locations. Additional time has been saved greatly by Rentle's automation features. Sending out rental agreements and keeping track of payments are just a couple of the time-consuming tasks that are automated by this system. Rentle's integration capabilities are also impressive. It is a one-stop shop for rental management because it integrates easily with other platforms, such as payment processing and shipping companies. All things considered, I heartily endorse Rentle to anyone in the rental industry. The investment is well worth it because it's a great tool for managing the rental process.

Cons

As a Rentle user, there are a few features I wish the program had. More sophisticated reporting and analytics capabilities are one of the things I would like to see. Though the software does offer some basic reporting features, I would prefer to see more in-depth and customizable choices. I could gain a better understanding of my rental business as a result, and I could make better choices. Additional software customization options are something else I'd like to see. One great addition would be the capacity to design unique fields and forms. This would enable me to customize the software to meet my unique needs and increase its effectiveness. And finally, I'd like to see some upgrades made to customer service. Even though the support staff has been helpful when I've needed it, I'd like to see more resources made available, like a more comprehensive knowledge base or more attentive customer support. Despite these minor drawbacks, Rentle is still a fantastic tool for running a rental business, in my opinion. It has a large number of features and automations that have helped me be much more productive and efficient while also saving me a ton of time. I wish the programmers would fix these minor issues and keep making improvements to the software. I've had a generally positive experience with Rentle so far, and I intend to keep using it in the future.

Very active development, which has both pros and cons

When I started my rental business there wasn't really any alternative to Rentle but as I started using them, I realized that it was exactly what I was looking for - a turn-key solution to start renting out equipment, without any up-front costs and quick to get started with.

Although there were a couple of features I would like to have it did all I needed it to, and during the time I've used Rentle most of these features have been added. Customer service is great to work with and if they can settle on a pricing model there's very little I can complain about.

Pros

The developers are very active and listen closely to their customers, and they implement and improve features constantly. The integration with either WordPress or a simple, static HTML is very straight forward.

Every time I've had a question or concern Rentle was quick to reply and always took my issue seriously. I've even had online meetings with representatives from Rentle where I could elaborate on my issue or idea in more detail.

Implementing credit card payment was a little bit finicky initially but once I got it set up it's working without issues.

The service/software is very flexible, and you can customize it quite a lot to suit your needs. Initially there were a couple of features I needed but over the 12-18 months I've been using the software Rentle has added a lot of these features.

Cons

At times it feels like the developers are adding and changing too much which makes it difficult to keep up with new features and functionality, both for me as an admin and for my customers. This also results in a somewhat messy and inconsistent admin interface.

Some settings are under Settings, others under Account, and some have their own item in the menu. When the inventory functionality was redone a link to Inventory was added in the Availability settings for a product with the text "Connect this product to inventory" but when clicking that link, I just get sent to the inventory management screen.

There is other minor stuff like this that all add up making it at times pretty frustrating and confusing to use the admin interface.

Pricing is also something I'm not especially pleased with as they've changed that three times during my 12-18 months of using the software. The current model is a fixed price per month which has a bigger impact on me as a small business than the previous model that charged a fee per booking.

Best rental software for the money

I have had a great experience so far with the free version. I will be checking out the free upgrade and will update my review once I try it out. I am hoping to add the additional features like promotional codes, variations, and manual order entry. I will review those later.

Ski rental made easy

Our rental workflow in two rental stations got digitized with Rentle with an ease and we could speed up our turn over time in instore rentals although our staff is not too much into computers!

Overall experience has been good and I'm glad we made the decision to switch entirely to Rentle for this season!

Pros

I liked the fact that we got rid of the paper rental agreements. Rentle helped us increase our sales because the program itself offers extra items for rent, VIP packages etc.
Program was easy to use and learn for our employees.

Cons

- Little more flexibility on the modifications. For example it would be nice if administrators could change the texts that Rentle displays after a customer has completed filling his info.
- Reports are OK, but I would like little more detailed reports. We have three rental shops and now the report is from all three together.
- It would be good to be able to stay on track on individual items rental history. For example; scan the barcode from a ski and from that get the rental history of the ski.

Great renting system

Pros

One of the biggest pros and one of the things other systems did not do good enough is the design. As a design company this was very important to us.

Cons

Our company did not have any big issues with Rentle. All the smaller issues we had were quickly solved by the support team.

Easy to use in a small business

Pros

Rentle is easy to use for all of our staff. It fits best for a small business who doesn't have tens of daily reservations.

Cons

Sometimes I hope to see more details of all reservations at the same time, same page. And also the amount of equipments on the stock for the rest of the day

Review on Rental

It's a great platform that makes renting items easy to do for businesses. I would love to have credit card on file added, and to be able to negotiate rates.

Cost per transaction could be lower. I would rather pay a flat rate, vs paying a % per order. I would ideally like to have the ordering processing fees to be sub 4% for stripe and rentle combined, and will explore alternate payment options to see if there is a way we can get there. Paying close to $600 per 10k in sales is too much.

Unfortunately, we cannot lower our commission fees, as only a part of it goes towards our development and maintenance, while the rest goes to the payment processor. As your business is scaling up, it might be beneficial to switch to another plan — the difference in transaction rates oftentimes covers the price increase — for example BUILD would bring your commissions to a sub-4% level (+$0.30 per transaction).

Saves a fortune on web developer fees!!

We now have a really smart looking online booking system, which is really easy to change and edit, and has lead to a lot of our customers booking online who might have otherwise booked with a competitor.

Pros

We found it really easy and straightforward to set up and customize. We had toyed with the idea of getting a web design company to build a booking system for our website, but decided it wouldn't be worth the cost. We then found Rentle which seems to be custom made for the hire industry, and found it very straight forward. Setting up the listings for each product takes a minute or two, and other customisation features are also very straight forward.

Cons

They are currently working on putting in more customisation features like background colour, which is something we would be very interested as we would like to make our store more like our website in terms of colour themes. We were also disappointed with not having telephone support, but as they are in a different time zone to a lot of their customers, I can see why its impractical. They do answer the messages and emails within an hour or two though, and can generally give you a full answer without the need for a load of back and forth.

Local Lego Set Hire goes nationwide

Great, and we've had the first nationwide rentals without a processing issue and I hope this helps boost the business further.

Pros

The support has been invaluable. Setting everything up as a novice is not easy adding 67 sets and some in multiples. There are lots of settings needed, and support helped me to find the right methods of offering my services.Now my business has started, I will be contacting support again to ask for tips and tricks to make the most out of this system.

Cons

The hire store does not have a search bar, so poeple can't simply search for their preferred Lego Hire set, they have to scroll through all.

Everything works as it should! The interface is very easy to use, totally intuitive for customers. It was very fast to get our catalog up and running.

Cons

A couple of missing features are the ability to add custom fields to items, and charging for add-ons or rental extensions through Stripe.

Giving it a try

Overall I am satisfied and as the business grows I hope more features are added.

Pros

The main reason I choose Rentle over a different platform was for the booking feature. I needed a calendar that syncs with 2 different rental products.

Cons

I really do wish the online store had way more customizations to make it look more polished. I was advised to embed Rentle into a 3rd party online store platform to get more custom features that I need. At this time I am trying to keep costs low so I will deal with the lack of customizations for now. Adding simple things like, better home page layouts, adding pages for FAQs, email collection for site visitors, etc. Also at this time, I have no information on site visitors, traffic, SEO, ETC.

rentle is a really good website in the overall with all the features and it's a very easy to use website, some points are still to develop but the main part is ok

A solid platform for renting and selling

Rentle has not only allowed me to start up my particularly niche business - it has made the process easy and streamlined. Customer service is also probably the finest I've dealt with.

Pros

Rentle was one of the few services that allowed me to sell and rent products. Rentle achieves this in a simple manner providing the customer with a smooth experience. The rentle store can be embedded into an existing website or be attached to a custom domain to keep branding and the customer experience streamlined.

Cons

Customisation of the store front is currently very limited - this however is due to be improved on.

New Rentle User

Absolutely fantastic product for a very reasonable price. Comes highly recommended.

Pros

My dayjob is as a systems development manager for a large PLC and I've never come across a piece of software that does inventory management, order management and dynamic delivery capability all in one solution.

Cons

I'd like more branding possibilities. As more people start using the software i think it becomes obvious that the website is built on a tool, that soon enough, everybody will start using.

Almost where it needs to be

It meets what I need it to do, while far from perfect such as not being able to update a order, such as switching a item requested by the buyer or the weight limits need to be increased to meet the size of my customers.

Pros

Rentle is cool, pretty easy to learn how to implement the backend to set up your shop.

Cons

Rentle needs to update their customer service hours to meet the demand of users in the states. I understand they are no US based, but it places a business owner in a bad spot when customers are demanding answers right away.

Online booking available for small businesses as well, now it's easy.

I use Rentle as an online service for my small canoe rental business. I've been considering implementing an online booking system for years. However, all the programs I've tried have been too complicated and required coding.

Pros

The implementation of online booking was really easy and logical. A special mention goes to enabling online payments; it has never been this easy.

Cons

Perhaps there could be various "How to" videos available. Understanding things from a video is easier than from written text, especially when it comes to different language versions.

The mixture of the online booking process and option of sending manual booking links/payments links has been really great.

Easy of use and the price point was low enough to test the waters with the program.

Cons

The website builder seems really basic. You are not paying much for Rentle, but would be nice to build out a nicer website and not be so restricted.

Great out of the box rental ecommerce platform

Pros

Easy to use, great storefront UX/UI, most needed features are there, fantastic customer support

Cons

Inventory management tools could be more robust - for example customisation of availability periods for products would be great. This has already been improved a bit during the time we've been using the product and there seems to be more on the roadmap, which is great.

its great so far, i havent *yet* used it enough to tell you more but its very interesting and will be used way more by me in the near future.

Pros

I havent used it as much as i should to write a review but it seems really handy for saving money and time.

Cons

There are a Lot of different ways to do practically one thing so it can get a little complicated.

Awesome Tool for Rentals

Pros

Easy to use, really good at explaining during onboarding. Highly recommended for rental inquiries.

Cons

There’s nothing to complain nor discuss about all is perfect for me.

Rentle, very good tool to manage my kayak renting activity

I'm glad I found Rentle to manage my business! The interface is very nice, both on the user side and the administrator side. I recommend this service to all kayak renters like me !

Pros

Rentle has allowed me to manage kayak rentals for my business. The software was able to take into account my needs such as counting the inventory of kayaks that I rent out. The backend is also very intuitive and allows me to manage very easily

Cons

I would like to be able to send sms to my customers to confirm their reservation. Moreover, I would have liked to have information on how to send an automatic email with all the information that the clients might need before participating in the activity (clothes to take, accepted means of payment...)
