My experience of Radar
Radar Healthcare has transformed the way we manage systems within our organisation. As a complex NHS Trust, it has streamlined our processes and enhanced communication across all services. One of its greatest strengths is its commitment to customers - Radar Healthcare truly prioritises a partnership approach, making us feel like valued collaborators rather than just another client, which sets them apart from other suppliers
Pros
The flexibility of Radar allows us to change the software to meet our strategic aims, rather than having to change our aims to meet the requirements of the software.
Cons
Some of the elements, particularly the risk register, have required some workarounds to meet NHS reporting requirements (but even then, it has felt like a partnership trying to resolve the issues).

Easy to use
Incident management and complaint management are much more visible and it is easier to spot themes and make improvements. It is also easier to share lessons learned to a wider group.
Pros
From an administrative perspective, I like that we can customise the data captured to ensure that it reflects our needs, whilst still remaining easy to use for all users.
Cons
Some of the workflow and certain form changes, including notifications cannot be done by ourselves. We would also like the ability to have different risk matrices and/or the ability to manage site level risk registers as well as corporate ones.
Response from Radar Healthcare
Hi Bini,
Thanks so much for taking the time to review Radar Healthcare.
It's great to hear that the system is easy to use and is already helping you to spot themes and importantly share the lessons learned and make improvements.
In terms of risk management, ill ask your CSM to reach out to you as we can manage risk registers across different scopes within the product including location and corporate risk, this also flows through into the analytics.
We look forward to continuing to help you deliver the best possible outcomes for your organisation.

Kisimul Review
Being able to move away from Spreadsheets and the opportunity to run analytics on the data we have , this provides so much more ability to learn from incidences and improve
Pros
User friendly , creating and tracking action plans
Cons
Reviewing risks can be a bit cumbersome. In addition it doesnt seem possible to set out over what time period target score can be achievedWhere internal parties are involved in an incident they can not easily view date that involves them
Response from Radar Healthcare
Hi Andrew,
Thanks so much for the review! We are glad that you're finding the system user friendly! And really pleased that the system is providing you with ability the to learn from incidents and drive improvements in patient safety.
In terms of your cons we already have plans to add in a target score date for risk (coming soon) and I'll ask your CSM to contact you around users (internal parties) accessing incidents that involve them as this is currently possible in Radar Healthcare and can be achieved in a number of ways.
Thanks again for the review.

Excellent Software
Radar has helped us to be complaint with regulatory requirements. Radar gives us assurance that staff receive and read notices. Radar helps us keep in touch with our staff. Radar has pretty much been a life saver during the Pandemic - its portability has meant that when staff have had to work from home or different locations they can access it easily on any device.
Pros
Its ease of use. It is clear and easy to read items. Document management means that end users know exactly which version to use and can see when and why a document of updated. Notices - these have really helped us manage the COVID updates and ensured that all staff have received the information they need to do their job safely. Event reporting - this has enabled us to make real quality improvements. the use of sub-categories helped us identify in depth issues and put in place workable solutions.
Cons
Compliments - I would like compliments made about individuals to be sent to them so that they get that feedback. Events - I would like the reporter to receive a copy of the completed event so that they get the feedback and know action has been taken.
Response from Radar Healthcare
Great review Joanne, thank you.
We're really proud we are supporting our customers during the pandemic.
In terms of your Cons, your Customer success manager has hopefully been in touch already as we can deliver on both of those feature requests for you.

Radar review
"One of the biggest advantages of Radar Healthcare has been its ability to centralise everything into one system. Previously, managers had to juggle safeguarding logs, complaints records, accident forms, and investigation templates—often scattered across different systems or paper files. This made it difficult to track events and ensure nothing was missed. With Radar Healthcare, everything is in one place. The system allows incidents to be logged in real-time by staff on the floor, with all supporting documents, investigations, and follow-ups attached. Managers now have full oversight - from the initial report through to resolution - giving them confidence that nothing is slipping through the cracks. If a safeguarding concern is raised or an accident requires investigation, all the necessary information is readily available, eliminating the need to sift through multiple records. The ability to capture and manage incidents in a single platform has been a game-changer, streamlining processes and improving accountability across the board.
Moreover, we saw a real shift in how our teams operate. For instance, managers told us that the number of out-of-hours calls from staff checking things had significantly reduced. Staff now feel confident they’ve completed everything correctly, thanks to the system’s prompts and structured workflow. Previously, they might have called late at night, worried they’d missed something, but now they have the reassurance that all necessary steps have been followed. It wasn’t something we initially set out to solve, but it ended up being one of the biggest benefits.
Another game-changer has been Radar Healthcare’s bespoke dashboards. Before, we were extracting data into spreadsheets - it was just numbers on a page. Now, the dashboards bring that data alive, making it easier to analyse trends, benchmark performance, and even prevent issues before they happen. Managers who once had to sift through spreadsheets now have clear, actionable insights at a glance.
For me, the real ‘lightbulb moment’ came when I realised Radar Healthcare could do more than just compliance. I was presenting at a conference about the new CQC evidence categories when a Radar Healthcare team member said, ‘We could do something with that.’ That’s when it clicked - we could use the system to capture positive feedback too. Within two weeks, we had built new feedback events for residents, relatives, and staff, introduced QR code posters to make it easy for people to share their experiences, and set up dashboards to track trends. It completely changed how we engaged with feedback and even led us to use Radar Healthcare for company award nominations. What started as a compliance tool became a way to celebrate excellence and drive positive change too."
Pros
One stop shop system
Incredible level of oversight
Visual analytical dashboards
System that lets companies be agile
Cons
Nothing - they listened and worked through any problems with us
